Hello,
Is there a way to reorder my custom faces on a KW88 running WatchClockSkin app ? Also is it possible to have a different scale/zoom level saved for each face ? In other words, I am trying to remove the bezels on some faces by increasing the zoom level but then on some other faces I have to reduce the zoom to get a full screen of the skin and that is why I think it should be nice to be able to save a specific zoom level for each skin to get the best out of each face without having to mess with the zoom each time. Thanks a lot for this amazing tool Ricktop !

I’ve worked hard on a new version of the clockskin engine.
This time i’ve taken a white piece of paper and tried to emulate the WatchMaker .watch format support. This is not easy, i have to guess how the engine should behave… Only way was to import a bunch of skins and make them look as on the preview… This means that not all is perfect and probably not everything will (ever) work as in the original app, but it’s anyway an improvment that opens some doors.

If you find .watch files that looks good, don’t hesitate to share their links !
If you find .watch that don’t work, i know there’s plenty, so i will not fix everything.

So what’s new : 

  • .watch file support (only not protected format)
    - date/time/stopwatch tags (reference here watchmaker.haz.wiki/).
  • battery tags (except temp)
  • sensor tags only steps/HR/accelerometer
    - No counter/timezone/phone/device/weather/calendar/tasker tags
  • simple script / chronometer
  • simple shape / shader
  • markers / text (carriage return is not seen)
  • Bright / Dim mode, multi screen support
  • lua support but NOT wmschedule, tweens, wmtransition… 

not supported :

  • no weather support
  • no time/offset support
  • no arrow animation…

BE CAREFUL : this implementation is in Java, so performance can quickly become an issue. You can find watch skins with more than 80 layers, and it will become really slow !
Also, don’t use the watch skins that have a zoom factor script, it is very costly and the zoom is already integrated in the double tap…

RECOMMENDATION : You can use the WatchMaker app on your phone/tablet to create or modify your skins, then test them with the standalone App before putting them on your watch.

Improvments :

  • Double tap now opens a dialog box where you can : choose between Night and Day mode and adjust the zoom factor.
  • clockskin Skins can be read in ZIP format : no need to decompress a skin in the ClockSkin directory, just put the zip file.
    Note the the ZIP file should not contain the skin in a sub directory.

launcher bug fixes :

  • wifi / BT state

How to install the Launcher :

  • install the APK
  • activate the correct authorisations : SMS / PHONE / Settings
  • activate “Allow Peek” Notification, the app will show you the setting tab.

Hi eric on version 1.1.5 .watch file not working properly for example : Tribute - Ernst Benz Chronolunar Automatic (that you send ) is work , now new version not working.
also this www.watchawear.com/watches/watch-faces/download/2-watch-faces/3167-seiko-astron-gps-solar-blue.html work fine before 1.1.5 version but now “second” is not work.
this is on kw88 watch.

Arilz, just tested the Seiko and have not found what is not working, any détail ? For me seems to work like the original.

Looks like a very specific need, i’ve not planned this.

Last version we have a “seccond” dail , but this version seccond dail invisible…not show.

Hi, Eric, does not work on the weather widget on my watch. It is installed and shows the weather at the time of installation, but not updated.
And on faces do not change the weather, always shows 00C clear weather.

Hi Eric, KW88 with 1.1.5 launcher battery seems fine but notifications are problematic again. On 1.1.4 notifications were working fine.

Hello Eric, I had the version 1.1.3 installed and it worked perfectly but now I installed the 1.1.5 and when I long press the home screen I can’t choose other skin and I’m directed to recent items… I tried to install the 1.1.3 but the problem remains… [SOLVED] I erased everything and now it’s working.

Eric, in 1.1.5 version BT issue again. On my kw88 bt is on but icon at config page show gray color.
Widgets with problems too… steps not show information. After a reboot is ok. But it is inconsistent.

It’s weird… For me 1.1.5 drains battery like crazy… Notifications work fine( app notice C)… my watch is KW 88 build number 11042016

I just installed version 1.1.5 and all works except .watch files. I have tried many and there is always something in the watch face that does not work. This is my first install. never install 1.14 or earlier. Nice work on the program. It’s fantastic. Now if only the .watch files would work, this would be the best launcher I has seen for any smartwatch. Excellent work. :slight_smile: Even the one posted here at the beginning did not work for me.

Addition, The bluetooth notification does not work either. The notification turns the watch on but only the clock face shows and when you go to the notification screen, it shows " no notification" With the old default launcher it works fine.

I’m using version 1.1.5 in my KW88 and works fine. Also, it recognizes .watch files.

My concern is about the “hand bright” function: I disabled the Settings -> gesture -> screen on raising option, and enabled the hand bright option.

When I rise my hand and face the watch, sometimes it bright and sometimes not.

I’m testing it using 2 watches: KW88 and S99 and is the same behavior.

Could you please correct this function? or What I’m doing wrong?

Update: It is true, battery drain issue in 1.1.5…

ah… now i see, double tap to enable bright mode & dim mode,
now it work…thank you…

now eric .wactch should working on some watchface.

only cant enable notification. noticifation not work on 1.1.5 but working on 1.1.4

Ok, little boys and girls. I flashed the 15122016 rom for KW88 and instaled Eric’s launcher 1.1.5. i have bunch of watchfaces and it doesnt drain battery at all… 2 days (with Bt only) and counting so my suggestion : Flash the firmware and enjoy
