Bricked FINOW X5+

I hope so

But to be honest, I can`t see any message/notice about 2 models of X5+. Please arrange some visible notices in posts with firmwares that there are few brands of 1 model of watch to prevent such situations like mine. Maybe an instruction to check this sign on motherboard before flashing sth.

You are my only hope, Sonia! I`m waiting for your reply

Ok - tell me exactly which firmware you flashed to this watch please? And a link please

i will do my best as it seen from the pic most likely there are two models and if so we need to get the firmware for these watch.  ***i myself did'nt know that the x5+ has 2 models so i hope other sees this thread and be careful to check first which model they have.

edit: it is now a holiday in China so we need to wait till they return:) as soon as we have the info, i’ll notify you and we’ll post what is needed.

Mine is labelled w616 - is yours a finow or LEMFO?
Finow told me there were no different X5+ coming to the market

I bought this watch > www.gearbest.com/smart-watch-phone/pp_576172.html?wid=21
And flashed this ROM from your post > /thread/374/x5-plus-w616-firmware

the moment we get the rom for your model we'll post it:)

I’ve just checked my X5+ after getting it last week. It is the same model.

There’s a firmware update for me, x5plus-v.s.170111-1484115594 (14.03 MB)

On my watch right now:

Baseband: moly.wr8.w1449.md.wg.mp.v20, 2015/12/03

Kernel: 3.10.72+ sw04@powerEdge-R710-01 #1 Mon Dec 26 19:18:14 cst 2016

Build Number: LMY47I test-keys

Custom Build Version: ALPS.L1.MP6.V2.19_CENON6580.WEG.1.L

I hope this helps.

i'm happy it works:) THANKS to Pablo11 who uploaded the rom as soon as i notified him. and yes one model is DDR2 and the other is DDR3.  enjoy the watch the best 5.1 android watch for now.....

Glad to hear you’re all ok

damn… the two version/class thing is starting also with the X5+! (not amused!)

It would be useful if one could identify what type of X5+ one has. I cannot find the W616 or W618 indicator anywhere.

You should remove metal back from your smartwatch (like you want to put SIM card to the device). Then look at the picture I posted some posts before and compare.

The command in phone keyboard #4321# is not working on this smartwatch? It reveals the model.

That's right. It shows for me. And firmware version too

I have
W616_WGL_W_S_X5PLUS_COMMON
BUILD_TIME:v.s.170111

What does it Mean? DDR2 or DDR3? Is it better? Is it even noticeable?

W616 is ddr2.
W618 is ddr3.
Difference- high frequency, high performance.

for what?

all apps I have on my x5+ runs without a lag.

Video all good.
Games run smoth.

apps that dont have high speed is always depending on mobile network. If something is not at full speed it is always because of a slow 3G or Wifi.

Performace is not the point.
“Newer” technology tends to be cheaper since it is produced in masses in contrast to older, dying technology.
You can bet they are changing to ddr3 since it offers cost and availability advances.

The point i am more concerned about is, that firmware updates/images for ddr2 could be dropped before ddr3.
It would be so easy to implement ddr2/ddr3 auto detection in one common firmware image.
I have no idea why they don’t use state of the art implementation methods.
