Hi Gintonic
Where do you see the biggest Problem.
Is it possible to describe?
Thanks in advance.
Eike

The way that the screens are attached to the watches makes it practically impossible without destroying the screen / watch

Yep, without a sensible heat gun you will fail.
Even a hot hair-dryer will fail.
Maybe best to ask local mobile phone repair service to do it.

Hi all,

I have been happily using my Lokmat APPLLP 4 Pro as my only phone for quite some time. It happily runs on the local 4G network when I am in towns and cities and switches to 3G when in some regional areas, as it should.

The carrier I use is turning off the 3G network and is constantly contacting me to warn of this. They state that my device “Shenzhen LematongTech Z28(Z29)” - with my correct service number, is not compatible with the 4G network and prompts me to upgrade before 3G closes.

In anyone’s experience, does any of this relate in any way to my Lokmat? I thought it identified itself as Z40. It is the only device I have my sim in.

Thanks for any insights. The local carrier hasn’t been helpful to date.

Sorry but dont understand : you say that your Lokmat APPLLP 4 Pro his ok on 4g in cities, if your carrier stop the 3g for regional and dont replace by 4g so change of carrier…

The carrier is replacing the 3G network with 4G. 5G is the city standard now.

They identify my watch, as it is the only device with their sim, as something completely different to what it is.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue?

The carrier misidentifies my watch and states it is not compatable with the 4G network. I know it works, but they are likely to want to cancel my service unless I can explain it (or demonstrate it in person to someone that has authority to change the identifier in their system).

Everyone else has their Z40 correctly identified by their sim conection with their carrier?

Thanks again for any insights.

The watch is identified correctly.
The watch is not compatible with many local volte network providers.
So, currently (in this case and many others) it is using 4G LTE for data and then switching to 3G for voice calls because these devices do not have access to the configuration files needed to satisfy local ISPs volte settings.

Basically, in China it is not a big deal because their networks are all configured to use the same settings.

If you are in the range of a cellular provider that can accept the watch volte settings, you can see an option in the Sim card settings on the watch which allows you to use volte.
If you can’t see this option, it means that your provider is not going to allow you to connect.

This has ALWAYS been the situation since volte over 4G was implemented.
The unfortunate reality is that many of us, worldwide, will not be able to use voice calls very soon.
Here in Australia, for example, we have until the end of June this year.
After that, no Sim card voice calls will work.

However, I suspect that apps like Whatsapp or Messenger will be able to use the regular 4G data connection to make and receive voice calls over the data connection.

I hope this helps, because there is nothing else to say about volte and these devices.
Cheers

Hi,
I have noticed this major major battery drain issue of Lemfo 16 watch (6G ram),

I compared battery usage of 2 watches ( Lemfo 16 6g ram and Kospet optimus 2) under same circumstances , the result is it consumes 2 to 3 times more power than Kospet Optimus 2 watch when only wifi on both devices is connected, and to make things worse, the Lemfo watch is hot all the time even when only wifi is connected, but the Kospet watch has normal temerature, not hot at all,

Can anyone share some experience and knowhow in terms of saving battery ? and reduce temperature of this watch?

A factory reset is the first step.
What firmware version are you using?
Did you purchase new, or second hand?

From a battery point of view the Lem16 doesnt perform as well as the optimus two. Mine also gets warm then hot if wifi and screen on while downloading / setting up but again nothing unusual. Its unusal for watches to warm up differently. I for one are testing a A8.1 watch that with wifi , sim , bt , data , location on all at the same time and its the coolest watch i have ever used.
Hopefully your factory reset helps

Factory reset? I already did it twice, nothing changed

I think this issue is incurable, I attribute this issue to the chip, which is not even a good chip I think, I haven’t even heard of the name , the chip used in Lemfo 16, its too bad, and the Kospet Optimus 2 chip is at least world famous brand name - Media Tec, I really really regret that I bought this useless Lemfo 16 watch, to me, its just useless, because, with this watch, when sreen set on all the time to use Hey google at any moment, it is Impossible to last a good time, but with the Kospet optimus 2 watch, this is not a problem!

If I was as unhappy as you, I would be returning it to the seller with a full explanation about why you are unhappy.

The same people who designed the Optimus 2 also designed the LEM 16 (Z40).
Just so you know.
The OEM is the same
