Zeblaze THOR - Issues and Resolution

This thread is for addressing issues seen on Zeblaze Thor using hardware hacks, ROM (updates or custom) or software applications or workaround.

I do not have solutions for all the issues, however, whoever has issues/solutions or both please post here so it will be useful for all the owners:

Issues:

  1. [Hardware] Magnetic charging dock is not strong enough.
  2. [ROM] Wi-Fi MAC address keeps changing on reboot.
  3. [ROM] OTA OS update does not work.
  4. [ROM] Serial number is wrong.
  5. [ROM] Only list view for applications.
  6. [ROM] Step counter is not accurate.
  7. [ROM] A watch should have watch features/settings - For Eg. Beep every hour.
  8. [Apps] Periodic Heart rate monitoring and logging.
  9. [Apps] Round screen and Android Lollipop friendly apps.
  10. [Hardware] Replace THOR battery.
  11. [Hardware] Screen guard (Tempered Glass)
  12. [Apps] A good monitoring software (on Android phone) - WiiWatch and WiiWear barely works.
  13. [ROM] Google Play store is disabled. (2020)

5. [ROM] Only list view for applications.
A: Install this Launcher

7. [ROM] A watch should have watch features/settings - For Eg. Beep every hour.
A1: Beep Beep in Play Store. It would be great if this was a default watch feature (setting)
A2: Another application Blip Blip in Play Store functions more accurately and has Casio beep sound.

10.[Hardware] Replace THOR battery. (For LES1 but looks almost identical to THOR internals)
A: Battery Replacement

11.[Hardware] Screen guard (Tempered Glass)
A: Screen Guard on GearBest

I am using the same screen guard mentioned in the link. Touch sensitivity and clarity is good.

I try to connect to my phone. Works. Enable Bluetooth tethering. But can’t set tick at “use phone for Internet access” on the thor

Had a few sudden shutdowns. Switch on not possible. Battery at different levels. Highest was about 90 percent. After connecting to charger switch on possible. Displayed battery level 2 percent…
Like if battery discharged in minutes…

Turn on Bluetooth tethering on your phone to be able to use data transfer on your watch.
As for the battery turn off your watch and charge it using low power charger ( I connected mine to USB port of computer) and let it charge fully. I had similar issues (not that severe) and this helped me. YMMV but doesn’t hurt to try :blush:

Latest OS - Z10-KY-V10-20170628

  • Brings up installed watch dial on gesture instead of just showing time
  • Better battery life (Not really!)
  • Chrome and other bug fixes

BTW if you are updating from previous version of OS you can un-tick userdata after loading the scatter file. This will help preserve your apps and settings.

i cant even get it to connect to my computer even after disabling driver signing and installed the usbvcom drivers from the tools pack found on this site! any suggestions as i would like better battery and clock face from gesture…

How can I restore the IME number?
Because it is currently written by imei unknown. (Zeblaze Thor)

how did you lose it? anyhow we can't help with this because it is illegal.

He must have flashed the firmware with preloader checked.
It will remove the IMEI.

The IMEI is on the box that comes with the watch.

Is there a possibility for 2 CPU cores to fall?

I did not find it in the clock. I activated the SMS at the Service Provider.

Hello, my thor fall to the floor and the LCD is broken niw, Anyone know where I need to buy the Thor LCD…?

After update to Z10-KY-V10-20170628 signal bluetooth to poor…i cant use bluetooth headset listening music on walk/run again…but in the car its not problem (driving car)…volume sound was fixed(to be more loud), signal 3G fixed to (not hot for use n bateray drain)…so i think all about bug in zeblaze thor is firmware drivers not hardware…wait for next update fixed (like waiting custom rom fixed update)
