Watch Droid Phone / Assistant

Sad but i understand that !

I thought they wanted him for the dial or call. Since only that was abandoned in the current version, or I’m wrong.
I don’t use the current one, because I use the version 9 dial on my watch that doesn’t have.

Does Watch Droid forward notifications to LTE connected watches which are away from the phone ?

Sorry . Its a no. Watchdroid is the best though

A pity, had that on my LG Watch Sport LTE

No problem, you can use tablet messager for this. It works fine on our watches, inclusive WhatsApp support.

Also m2d and pushbullet will work.

Unfortunately, Watch Droid was designed to work with the bluetooth system, maybe in the future you can add this feature to use internet networks, also to do this you would have to make a very large modification throughout the application and at the moment I do not have the right resources to make this possible.

Can we change the notification sound in the Watch Assistant, if not from user interface, then by replacing a sound file ?

Update: Looks like it uses the system notification sound, so I simply changed that.

I have a problem with some of my notifications not getting through. Can it be related to notification filters - all apps have ā€œAutomatic filterā€ applied - what is that ?

Update: Not related to the automatic filter, but would still like to know what that is. It seems SMS notifications gets through, but none of my other ā€˜app notifications’. It has been working fine, so I wonder what has happened…

Update2: Not much wiser, but un/reinstall of Watch Droid made notifications for apps come back…

Update3: A lot of testing later it seems to be after first reboot of the phone, then Watch Droid only reacts to SMS, none of the app notifications. I am on Android 10, is this a know incompatibility with the old v9 and Android 10 ?

I’m a noobie with my Kospet Prime. I’m working with V9.1.19.9 on both the phone and watch.

The SMS integration; sending / receiving etc. works flawlessly! Phone calls are hit and miss.

While I can make and rejext phone calls on the watch that are then handled by the phone’s mic and speaker, it does not appear I can use the watch’s speaker and microphone to use the watch as a Bluetooth phone device. Since almost all Bluetooth earbuds do this, I’m wondering why this can’t be done here.

Also, when I get phone calls from my contacts, there is a greyed-out speaker icon on the left when I click on the notification, what is that for and how is it unlocked?

Thank you again for a great SMS interface. I’m looking forward to understanding the phon features better.

This is because your kopset prime does not support bluetooth calling . Thanks

Have you tried turning off in battery saver and reboot ?

Hi Andy

I have disabled power management and enabled all power consuming options for Watch Droid before last reboot and it didn’t help (Android 10)

I’m a little lost on this as no issues on android 9 with any of my watches . Have to tried reaching out to the developer

By writing my issue here in his thread, yes, but not personal message. One thing I notice: after installing the Watch Droid runs seamless in the background (and works perfectly), but if I reboot it gets a permanent notification (as many apps which needs background operation does), but then only SMS works, no app notifications as explained above.

I am noticing the same issues.

Thank you for confirming the present firmware state of the Kospet Prime does not support Bluetooth calling.

Did Watch Droid Phone / Assistant ever support Bluetooth calling on any watch? I’m trying to understand the potential phone capabilities within V9 of the software. Questions still lingering:

  1. Can the software handle physical handling of calls through watch speaker and watch mic on any watch?
  2. What is the grayed-out speaker icon when a call comes in and how can it be unlocked?

Hi . Only old android 5.1 and some 6.0 watches support bluetooth calling . Dont expect it on 7.1.1 or in the near future . All of these watches when sim installed can be used as a regular phone ( thats the whole idea of them ) . Thanks

You add watch droid to exception in batterysaver and background saver on watch?

Yes, did that too. Also it wouldn’t explain why SMS gets through, while other apps don’t.
