Vwar Nebula X Android 11 Smartwatch

Optimus 2 does work on EE with lte

I can explain the bad battery life. The watch is working in reverse so the firmware installed already has apps unrestricted in the background which is a first ? Inc pre installed google apps ?

Working in reverse i managed to get good life. Out of the box it was terrible

That means that EE is unfortunately not a good test.

We need a carrier that has pre checks for VoLTE access to know if it is truly working across the board with carriers.

Lokmat has not released their version yet due to the firmware update they want.
Hope to hear from them after the coming weekend.

Long time no see here.
I buy one from aliexpress. about 65$.
model name is shown as Q668.
full of google but no play integrity certification.
UI is little bit ugly, but not bad to use.

mine is genuine mtk chipset cofirmed.
In my country(korea), unisoc does not support certain carrier and also volte does not available.
My carrier is that. But with usim, everything works fine include DATA/MMS/VOLTE.
also, android version is at least, up to 9.0. I did not check yet.
why? my countryā€™s VOLTE only supported from android pie.

Battery is small, but also not bad.
Battery is about 10% drain per 7 hours with WIFI On / Dura speed Off / Sleep State.

Except UGLY INTERFACE, itā€™s just an android smartphone with some special layout.

Can i ask. How have you confirmed mtk chipset ?

Iā€™m sure itā€™s the same hardware. If unisoc devices are not supported in Korea, this could be a reason for the fake device information.

First, in terms of software, Duraspeed exists. This is a software that implements MediaTekā€™s (MTK) proprietary API. Of course, there is a possibility that this is false.

Secondly, VoLTE works. As I mentioned before, UNISOC products cannot use VoLTE in Korea at all. Only two carriers support 3G-based calls, and the remaining one doesnā€™t offer 3G-based communication services at all. Since my carrier only supports voice calls via 4G, that is, LTE, I was confident that this is indeed an MTK chipset.

The Android version also seems to be at least 9.0 or higher. In Korea, versions below 8.1 are not compatible with the VoLTE standard, so VoLTE doesnā€™t work at all. For example, when I purchased the PALM (PVG-100) via overseas direct purchase, it didnā€™t support VoLTE because it was running Android 8.1.

Although I didnā€™t physically open the back of the device, I am confident based on the above environment.

Oh, I forgot replying to you.

I also buy it and test it and confirmed it.
it works well in Korea.

but, sadly, there is no mtk engineer mode.
only some secret/service code available like ##4636##.
I also attached some pics.

Install ā€œmtk engineering appā€. Iā€™m sure you will find that it is not mtk.
However, it is fake. So good that even the network provider is fooled, which is most likely one of the reasons for the fake.
A11 is the real thing, but the chip is Unisoc.

I checked it.
There is no system app ā€œmtk engineer modeā€ related apk found.
so that we cannot access engineer mode.

ā€œmtk engineer modeā€ is a just system apk.
if firmware provider decide not use/include/provide it, end user cannot use/access it.
provider can select it for protecting there device.
but, I donā€™t know it is legal or illegal.

and one more time say it.
There is NO CASE about unisoc device volte in korea.
only some carrier with 3G base call working.
but NO VOLTE SUCCESS Case.

if itā€™a really fake, They are the first company who makes VOLTE working in korea without helping from carrier.
Koreaā€™s volte is not fully open. some private part exists.
that prart makes problem and only can solve it with carrierā€™s support.
this action only can do it by soc company level.

But, one thing I really worried about is, mine is mtk. but if there may have some variation, people got a really ā€œfakeā€ device.

If you use this app

You will quickly see it is NOT mtk and faked

you did not understand what I told.
that app only activate mtk engineer mode ā€œsystem appā€.
but this android watch does not have anything what that app can activate.
so that app canā€™t do anything.
device should have a system app like this screenshot.
you can find it in setting - apps - all apps - menu - display system app check.
Screenshot_20171216-121939

if you cannot use that app, it means

  1. your device is not mtk model.
  2. your device maybe mtk but does not have any method to do something with engineering mode.

Yeah ok.
Anyway, this model (regardless of brand) is MTK6739.
Confirmed.

Iā€™ll post the factory specs in a while.
The build specs are the same for all brands selling this model.
Cheers

OK, I didnā€™t expect that. @Truelan I apologize for my misjudgment. Iā€™ve seen so many devices with fake specifications in the last few months that when in doubt, my first instinct is to assume itā€™s a fake.

Anyway, itā€™s a shame that we probably wonā€™t have any way of getting the firmware.

The specs of the Square Android 11 watch are the same for all three brands.
Here they are.

They are not ā€œfakeā€
They are MTK M6739
They may or may not work for VoLTE depending on the carrier certification check for your provider.
We are investigating the ā€œno carrier checkā€ config and Iā€™m hoping that this is included in this watch firmware so that I can pull it and apply it to some other models.

After enabling developer options and usb debugging, the engineering app should work.
What is most important is that more people use the app linked earlier, lock it to LTE only and test voice calls.
So far I believe it has only been tested on EE in the UK.

We need more.

Until I get my test sample.

Nice to see something a bit fresh in the FAW space. Have ordered the S998 variant based on price.

I like the built-in USBC for charging rather than proprietary pin chargers. I also like the persistent android navigation controls at the bottom of the screen. A hardware volume rocker on the side would have been a nice addition.

One Youtuber said they have tested waterproofness. No idea what this ā€œtestā€ involved but Iā€™ll do the same when I get mine and report back. If I brick it in the name of science, so be it.
