Vwar Nebula X Android 11 Smartwatch

Where can I easily find a bike rack like the one shown in the photo?

No idea. It was a promotional photo

Yes there is. It must exist somewhere.

Here you go -

TELESIN Multifunctional Strong Flexible Wrap Around Silicone Bike Handlebar Ring Mount For GoPro, Insta360, DJI And Other Action Cameras (Black) https://amzn.eu/d/ch0GqSI

If you look closely at picture this will not work. They have stuck a picture of the watch onto the above item. Fake pic

:pensive::pensive::pensive: it seemed realā€¦

My main interest is how it will connect to cellular network after October this year.
There are ISPs in some countries that have no connection restrictions, just like mainland China.
However, most have a preauth check and will refuse access to VoLTE networks.
Not for data, just voice calls.

So I am really waiting for someone to access the engineering mode and force LTE. Or take a logcat when making a phone call using the Sim card.

Some good news for me, at least. AliExpress approved my return and gave me a full refund (Wow!)

I am still interested in this watch, but hesitant to buy another after the issues I encountered with my first one. The one I bought was the ā€œS998ā€ version.

I did some research on my own on the mtk6739 (actually mt6739?) and the specs do not seem to match up with what is actually in the watch.

I donā€™t believe anything Iā€™m saying hasnā€™t already been saidā€¦ Just giving my 2 cents.

Shame you had a bad watch. I have the S998 model also and it has no issues at all. I also dont believe its MTK but is A11.

Huh - Good to know. Maybe Iā€™ll give it one more try. I really liked it for the few days it worked! Itā€™s a little on the bulky side, but the screen size makes it very usable and the full type C port means I donā€™t have to worry about always carrying around an extra charger just for my watch. (And I donā€™t have to worry about losing it, either)
If the C port supports USB host, I could use it to boot my softmodded Switch, or file transfer via flash drive, etcā€¦ Itā€™s more like a miniature phone with a wrist mount than a watch, lol

Itā€™s a spreadtrum chip, I guessā€¦

Yes, itā€™s puzzling.
I know that MTK M6739 is not on the supported list for Android 11.
But I also know that to get Android 11 on unisoc is extremely difficult as well.
It was extremely difficult for the Z40 for example.

If I can get my hands on a sample I could tell you exactly, but we canā€™t afford to spend the money on one of these for me.
Itā€™s getting harder and harder to support ourselves because the Android watch market has gone right down in the last year.

I am thinking that newer, legitimate Android watches will be using the ASR chipset.
Easier to get support from the company and more up to date Android versions.

Yes, unisoc (Spreadtrum) is the most likely.
But I wonder why they should market it as MTK?
Makes no difference reallyā€¦

Well, it makes a difference here in the forum, for example. With an MTK chip, it could have been a purchase recommendationā€¦

Yes indeed.
But I canā€™t understand why the sales are promoting it as MTK if it is not.
They have probably never heard of usā€¦

But dont forget Lokmat also selling as MTK for there version of this watch

Hello
What is the quality of the camera?
Could someone take pictures of the front and back?

Below average. Whatsapp calls fine but certainly would not buy for camera

You guys seriously need to test Volte properly.
You need to find a way to access the cellular band settings and set to LTE only.
If calls still work, awesome :+1:
If not, in a monthā€™s time (well, here in Australia) when they disable 3G, voice calls will no longer work over Sim card.

Iā€™m not sure when other regions are making this change, but it is very soon.
Cheers

I can confirm if set to lte only calls and data work

Thanks so much @Dr_Andy_Vishnu
Well done mate.
How did you get to engineering modeā€¦?

Also curious to know what service provider you are using?
Does Optimus 2 work with LTE on your service provider?
Curious to know how strict your ISP is.

So far, this is really good news :+1:

If we can confirm more details about the device itself and confirm that it has the ā€œskip carrier check for VoLTEā€ setting enabled in the configuration files, we could pull the files and apply for all the other watches. :+1:

However, if you can enable VoLTE on any of the usual watches, it means that your carrier has no restrictions and we will be back to square one.

Maybe I should get one of these.
What do you think mate?
Was it expensiveā€¦?
