Yes i have checked that and also resetted the watch 2 times… Also tried many versions of the Assistant who is a Go version, the normal version of the Google Assistant doesnt install on this watch only Go version…
The version of the Assistant installed by this watch on her market is : 2.16.0.537 833419.armeabi-v7a.release, if you try to install the full version of the Google Assistant from Playstore you encounter an error updating the Google app himself. So this watch is not Android 9.0 as say the vendor but may be a spécial 8.1 version based on Go…
This appears to be an issue with all A8.1

Many problems with custom settings apps, stripped out functionality and Google Go.
I don’t bother with these watches myself and we can’t support them because they are just too much trouble.
The people who made them just want to sell and never hear from the customer again.
They have no interest in improvement or firmware updates.
@Dr_Andy_Vishnu may have some of these models, but he can only give advice and assistance where possible.
They manufacturers refuse to have any contact with end users.
You’r right and it’s a pity to make beautifull hardware ( H18, H19 ) but a so bad firmware and software. The only advantage it’s low price and the fact that whe can test and return to the seller for refund…

The other camera is 5.30mp I think. It’s tricky because the main camera is listed twice.
But I believe the front facing one is 2mp.
Just testing this watch S998 ( vwar nebula x ) and problem with Google Assistant : unable to place a call or send sms, assistant reply ’ you have to update Google for that…’ Any idea ?
You need to update Google Play services and set accessibility options after that.
Just double check permissions for everything afterwards.

Thanks but when i go to Google play services they are uptodate… When i click on Assistant and ask to call a contact he reply ’ you have to update Google for that ’ same response with Gemini. When i click on the following button for google i have your phone is not compatible !
You have to manually update Google services.

I just won’t be able to check messages but it’s very easy to do.
You even do it by downloading this from the play store or copy to watch storage and then install it
Thanks for this apk, i have try it but doesnt help : restored google play service to the firmware state and updated it with the apk, google play service are uptodate now but Google Assistant doesnt work and still ask the last version of Google ( not google play services ) when i try to place a call or sms. When i try to place a call or sms with Google Assistant he reply : you need the last version of Google to do that… And when i click on the Google button : this version is not compatible with your device… So the problem is Google not the Google play services. Sorry to bother you with that.

Here is something interesting. So this issue happens on the playstore version on A8 watches
However if you download the version from the stock app downloader there is no issue
Maybe the version on the stock app downloader is tweaked?
