Universal Launcher New Generation [2.x]

?

All new downloaded watchfaces from watchface.to are shown black
The xml file can be read so it seems not to be protected but they are all named like 48545.watch
I also renamed the file like the description but also black

As sample watchface.to/preview/gshock-ga110nm

Those faces uses an unsupported (by android) ZIP format, to make them work, just unzip them and rezip them with your usual ZIP manager.

Most of the time it lasts a day (I think only twice I drained it to below 15% and once I depleted the battery completely). During the day I have bluetooth and wrist wakeup on.
I charge watch in the morning while I prep to go out to work (around 7 am). Ocasionally hook it up to computer to transfer some watchfaces. I charge it up for a bit in the evening just to be sure it won’t die through the night (around 9pm). I have sim card in but I’m not using 3G all that often. While at home I use wifi (but not all the time). Sometimes use wifi at work. Mostly it’s just notifications, weather, S Health and Alarm Clock. So nothing too complex

Thanks so much for this Rick, the expanded functionality for me of Watchmaker faces is a huge deal, allows a whole other universe to be opened up. Cheers!

The clockskin is freezed when the display is on and it takes more than 3 seconds to refresh. This happens on d5+ w613 last firmware.

I don’t care about watchfaces. I have enough of them in clockskin format that works with stock and eric’s launcher too. The best feature on this launcher is ability to add widgets. Also I like the matrix drawer which is easier to scroll. have nice big icons. Maybe adding option to change icons will be good. Also this launcher have better graphic engine than stock. But the big bug for me on my KW88 is that I need to add widgets after every restart, and also I have noticed bigger battery drainage with this launcher. I think that the work should be concentrated on this remarks, and not to lose time to make every .watch (Android Wear) clockface to work with this launcher. At the end, every user who is a little bit enthusiast can make (or adapt) clockskin that suits his needs. Why do you lose time with posts like “this skin doesn’t work, this watchface doesn’t work, etc. etc…”.

I understand your point, but working on those remark helps to enhance the stability of the launcher. So i agree that i will never make all faces work, but i hope they will not Crash the launcher or put you in a situation where you will have to reset your watch.
Next version will bring sound management and more stability…

Hi Eric! I’m back to 1.1.8 because it seems to be more stable for me, but now I’ve seen that the alarm clock doesn’t work, it doesn’t even vibrate! The watch goes on and shows the alarm clock with two options but there is no sound at all. Is this a “know bug” - in addition to my feedback regarding the media sound? What’s about 2.0.9? Thx.

Sound management is the same on 1.1.8, if you need sound go in the system settings and activate it.

Yes, of course, and that's my problem, Eric! As soon as I've installed 1.1.8  or 2.0.9 I cannot activate sound anymore. I mean, I go to settings, sound and I see that media sound is muted. So I activate it and leave the menu. But if I go into this menu again, I see that the sound is still muted. What am I doing wrong?

I will try to publish the next version today, but i’m not satisfied with it yet…But maybe it will solve your issue.

this is the screen problem i have been having just with the launcher. stock launcher works fine. debug mode with show screen taps is on and registering the taps.  first one is url bar second is the back button in file viewer.
tested it on the x5+ latest updates and from 1x to 2x and standalone all do the same.

Hi Eric,

I just installed your launcher in KW88 and it looks amazing. Hats off to you first of all. Great work. Okay I noticed a bug that will help you in improving the launcher. When the watch screen size is small (we’ve the two options, small and full) the entire application is shifted towards the bottom right part of the screen and it’s almost impossible to use application as they cut off.

Thank you for such an amazing work. Keep up the good work!!

Cheers!

Great, many thanks, Eric! I'm looking forward to test your new version, good luck!

This is known bug and I think Eric stated here once or twice that “small” aka square screen is not supported (at least for now).

Oh sorry, noted now!!

Many thanks!

Nothing to be sorry

ricktop

could you, please, post which watchmaker tags are supported? In the OP date/time are mentioned as supported but at least {ddz} and {dy} seem not working (I’ve been messing around with watch.xml files and of course there is a chance I screwed something there too

)

Nevermind…

ps. Is there some desktop editor for watchmaker type faces? (preferably running on linux)

ps2. ricktop step counter {ssc} reports some odd values. In built app shows some 3000+ steps while {ssc} shows 1400+

Eric, tested KW88 with 2.0.9 and has problems with notifications. Tested back with 2.0.8 and no problems except when hand gesture is enabled then notifications do not work again. I hope this helps. One question regarding timeout set to 3 sec when hand gesture enabled. Does it switch off the display? Because I found out that when using it battery drain occurs and if not using it battery is fantastic. Check whether 3 sec timeout is switching off the screen. Thanks again.
