The next new product from Finow smart watch.
Finow X5 Air, classic body, MKT6580, Quad Core, Come soon
Thanks @Jessie_Lin looks good!
@zsolt_m At this moment, it seems it will be my first
And what is remotely different about this watch from the plethora of other 6580 watches? Perhaps a couple of design cues appearance-wise and more memory?
Just getting a bit jaded…
@Jim_Chisholm We are waiting for the final specs. But personally I like this design, what same as x5+.
Well, i like the design and the more memory. On the other hand, since I’ve never had an android watch, I don’t know how much the 2 GB are really needed, or even if more would be really better. My smartphone has more RAM, but I don’t think it is comparable.
I’m hoping for trans-reflective displays (ie Amazfit Pace) to become available for these.
My Pace is always-on display for 3 to 4 days, yes these watches look great when the display is activated
but playing with it in that mode for 15 minutes and using all the features pretty much mandates a recharge.
I still have my original X5, but I only use it as a watch, nothing more - I don’t use a SIM card with it, as I already carry a phone. I was hoping that I could a) have background heart-rate monitoring, b) have a UI akin to a real digital watch ie press one of the 3 buttons to cycle between watchface, stopwatch, alarms, and smart features. Sadly I cannot have any of that, and I just cannot get a reliable connection between my phone and the watch, so gave up trying to send notifications to the watch. I would much rather see Android Wear on the watch, and although I understand why it isn’t (licensing etc) I think using a modified normal Android on a watch form factor just doesn’t work very well, a sentiment I have for the entire normal Android on a watch ecosystem - a pity, as the hardware is certainly up to the task. I would need to see big improvement to the UI and features of the new X5 before I would consider buying.
This model will have 2gb ram and 16gb storage.
Available by end of the month hopefully. I think it is using same size battery and everything else is the same.
I will let you know when we find out about price and final specs…
@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 In Aliexpress store found it, but the buy now link not work yet, so cannot see the specs.
@zsolt_m Jessie already told me it will be end of July. Maybe around $120 USD but that is just a guess on her part. Battery is only same as before though which is a shame. Adding an extra 1gb will hit the battery and may be an issue.
But it is a very nice watch:)
Later in the year will be the X5 PRO. That will be a very different watch
Wonder if GearBest will carry it. My experiences with Aliexpress often include 2 months delivery and there’s always a newer better model by the time you receive the one you ordered. I see much quicker service from GearBest, YMMV.
