Hi all,
I have recently acquired a Finow X5 Air and have been tweaking to get a custom solution for everyone.
-
Root
I have managed to acquire root through magisk avoiding KingRoot. -
Custom Recovery
TWRP for X5+ looks OK, but doesn’t have working touchscreen when loaded in the X5 Air model.
I’m aware that someone patched the stock rom with the correct fix, which pablo11 linked here /thread/1408/x5-air-2gb-ram-firmware
I would like to know how it was fixed so I can apply it to the recovery image. -
Black round Overlay
By Changing the resolution, overlay and density (through adb) I can see that some kind of system overlay is being used over the screen output.
I was able to remove it although I’m not certain which app was adding it.
-
System’s dropdown for notifications activates when pressing the above half of the screen when using a higher resolution
I can disable it by freezing the systemUI app. However this has other implications, as the app is also responsible for other things such as the approval screen for adb permission.
I would like to know if anyone knows how to disable the dropdown completely, or resize the activation zone. -
Accessibility Service.
To have true control over the system I need to be able to activate an accessibility Service, however the window is currently unusable due to missing buttons.
Do you know any workaround? -
Magnification
The system has built-in magnification support by triple tapping, however this suffers from the same problem of not being able to activate it.
Anyone knows a fix?
7. time-starter.com gestures not working
The app works fine the first time around, specially if using square view, but when reloading, it no longer detects screen gestures.
This can be fixed by changing the advanced options so it shows ‘android watch’
