Any chance of getting some discussion going about adding a “Thumbs Down” button to posts? Now I don’t advocate galloping negativity, but there are times when I don’t agree with a certain post, or what has been said in it…so the ability to give a Thumbs Down would have at least 3 distinct advantages…1) It gives the author of the post a range of feedback on his post…so at least he has some way of gauging what people are thinking about his post…not just an endless group of “Thumbs up’s” 2) It would save a lot of space and time in having to write a reply to a post that you don’t necessarily agree with…and 3) it gives someone a chance to register their disagreement with a post in a fast, non aggressive manner. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Cheers, Doons
just kidding…
At a time when most social media platforms are saying goodbye to the “thumbs down,” should we adopt it? I personally don’t think that’s a good idea. We also have the option of giving direct feedback via PM.
Looks like I am the first victim of my own idea! Cheers,
Your point is well taken G1N…but in my opinion removing the Thumbs Down option is a bad move…particularly on Utube, etc as it was a guide to what the likely content quality was to be. Cheers, Doons
We have not removed it - it was never there
I think is fine
Ok Boss man …(Only the good Lord knows what fate I would suffer if I gave the head Honcho a thumbs down!!) So it is…for everyone but yourself! Cheers, Give Pab a “Thumbs Down”?!! “Only if you want to be fitted for a cement overcoat”!! , Doons
