I didn’t realise that you were having to use adb to get Assistant to work.
Basically, it would have been better if you said it didn’t work until you issued these adb commands.
Anyway, it’s pretty much a moot point now. No one in their right mind would buy such a dodgy device, unless they have an extremely good reason. I think this assistant topic is dead - for both the S13 and the dodgy crap that was sent out.
Unless you people can think of any good reason to continue? If you do - you might consider opening up a new topic specifically for this.
@Raide you need to post your firmware version please. This is the only important piece of information that is needed right now to help identify the watch’s real identity and specification.
I have asked for a HWinfo report, but still nothing from you. Is it the same as the one @bsdinis posted? See below.
At the start I wasn’t using adb commands … I’m using them now to try to get the assistant to stick … for some reason after a period of time it wants to run the setup again.
As for firmware, I’m confused … I posted that up above, or are you looking for something else?
I bought mine, like @bsdinis , from aliexpress but a different seller. Ironically I found THIS site because aliexpress is using the exact same images and description …. is there a better group for this
As for Assistant - it just seems to be time, after minutes/hours, when I go back to use it it wants to setup again, its like some process is unbinding it? Its strange. I am really only trying to figure out assistant to see if its stopping android auto from working, and also to learn more, ( I haven’t used Android in a long time)
I was able to get a refund for this fake watch and they didn’t even ask to send it back, the return shipping is probably more expensive than this crap. I had to wait exactly 23 hours for their automated system to provide me with two solutions, and when I chose the full refund and return solution I still had to wait another 48 hours before it was automatically approved by their system. they didn’t even bother to reply to the return/refund process and just let the system automatically handle it when the deadlines end. in the meantime, I also got an email from support saying that they see that I have opened a return process for order number xxx and that I would need to pay a small shipping fee to return the item, that was either a dumb automated response or just Chinese tactics to ragebait people into issuing a chargeback too early before exhausting every possible solution with the merchant.
I bought some silicone-like black adhesive sealant and I will attempt to glue the watch back together, but it is very difficult to get the battery wires folded just right, and I still don’t know how am I going to hold everything securely in place while waiting for the sealant to dry.
I have a VWAR Core5. Don’t be sad that you can’t buy one. The watch works perfectly, but I really don’t like that the Core5 can’t use 2G 3G networks, only LTE.
May be your contact on Whatsapp tell you a wrong information, if you go on the official website : 43 items on stock at the moment and you can pay with Paypal, so no risks…
Futur will tell the truth about shut down 2G/3G ; at the moment in my country when i place a call all of my watches switches to 3G, none of my watches rest on 4 G durind a call…
