S13 Watch / Vwar core 5. With Android 13 and AMOLED screen

every single S13 that is currently being sold on Aliexpress are “Choice” items, which are handled directly by Aliexpress themselves. you can’t even message these sellers directly through the regular “Message center”, it’s all handled through their stupid chat bot even if you ask it to “Speak to an agent”.
I have made hundreds of orders on Aliexpress, never had any major issues before, all other disputes have been handled correctly, but this is the first time that I was literally scammed with a fake item.
I am going to exhaust every option, if I don’t get my money back I will just ask my bank to charge it back, I honestly don’t care if my AE account gets banned.

the refund process returned 2 solutions exactly 23 hours after I initiated the process, which was the automatic “Aliexpress steps in” process.
the two solutions they provided were, refund only ~17€ (I paid 46,88€ total after 7,00€ coupon) and keep the watch, or full refund and return the watch.
Choice items have “Free return”, I just hope that the watch doesn’t fall apart when they unbox it and then blame it on me.

As I said before, the watch was like it when you opened the box. It’s a shame that you didn’t take photos of it immediately when you saw it in the box like this (the glue would have been noticeable I guess?).

They love photos. Get as many as you can which show the glue and the firmware version.

The correct firmware version should start like this: S13_C29_EN_ or just C29_EN_

is there any watch worth buying right now for under 100€?

w527 for the win

In total i think i have ordered 4 S13’s from Aliexpress and all have been fine so you have been unlucky. And yes they are 100% S13’s with android 13

Probably not now though @Dr_Andy_Vishnu

They don’t make them anymore and they must have run out of stock maybe….?

how long ago?

Probably. God knows what they send out. Aliexpress just refunded me half the money for my other fake A13 watch.

Last one 3 months

RIP Core 5 & S13

Trust me, the ASR integration of Android was crap. So it’s not a bad thing that they are not still available. Maybe once they seriously improve it, then it will be worth looking at again.

which watch should I buy?

by the way, I think the original post should have a warning about this watch being discontinued and that any “S13” currently being sold is a fake.

No, MTK is very suitable for wearable : i’m still using two old watches with MTK ( DM101,Lemfo Lemfo Lem 16 ) and there’s are still ok with Android 10 and 11…

The S13 himself is a fake from the beginning…

do you mean to say that the S13 is a fake Vwar Core 5? the same firmware is used for both S13 and Vwar Core 5, the name of the firmware starts with “S13_C29_EN_Vx.x_xxxxxxxx”, from that perspective the Core 5 is “faker” than the S13.
from what multiple people have gathered, the S13 and the Core 5 are the exact same watch, hardware and firmware.

S13 and Vwar Core 5 are exact same watch : yes. S13 and Vwar core 5 have many problems since the beginning : yes. This watchches full of bugs are not manufactured anymore, waiting for a next model with real specs and good integration of Android Google…

I agree probably Android 8 only, I can sideload AndroidAuto v11.7.645844 (which supports 8 and higher) but can not sideload higher versions.of AndroidAuto.

As for assistant something keeps pulling it away from being default, but when its running I can set a timer, or ask the weather etc. I dont have my sim in it to call or text, but when I try it, it replies saying I have to download the latest version of the google app, (which I cant update) so definitely broken in some places so far. Here is an example …

The back is also not screwed in but glued, (although pretty solid right now)

(is there something I have to do here, to be able to post links or pictures?)

The S13 is 100% android 13 and not A8. This has been argued over and over on this forum. Regardless of opinions on reliabilty on firmware / hardware etc
