I have been testing this A9 W527 for over a week now to see how the new W527 performs and also see how i can work around having no playstore / google apps and the results are very positive for me. A few other things to mention. I am also using this watch with Universal Launcher 4.1.0 and the game changing Rtosify tethering app.
Firstly the watch. Super fast with no lag at all. Big Amoled screen so clear and bright its the first watch i have had to turn down. Battery life extends into days so no charging daily. Wifi and Gps strong . Not tested for sports as yet. Menu cluttered with chinese apps ( would need to be removed via adb ). Some can be removed manually. Works with a UK sim for calls and data after tweaking settings. Bluetooth transfer works with everything including huge files which is rare now. Camera not tested as dont use. Fake sensors. Recieved a ota update as soon as purchased. With smartwatch_devoption app was able to access usb debugging. No wireless adb on all W527. Clockskins working new and old. No permission issues for any apps unlike ASR. Build quality good. Comes with 2 pin charger but works with data on 4 pin standard. Very extensive menu with features not seen before. I’ll add more to this as i go.
Workaround for google / playstore fans and prefered apps
Opera web browser ( as well as internet ) lets you access gdrive / gmail etc very fast with no issues. Downloads working.
Apk pure app for all downloads instead of playstore ( normally laggy on watches ) but super fast
Bluemail although old is a great email app ( i have it running five accounts )
Whatsapp for most messaging and calls
As it stands i have everything and more that i need.
Conclusion.
Can i live without Google and playstore ? 100% yes ( never thought i’d say this )
so can you just let me know if the camera has a better ‘forward’ picture, i.e. when it’s facing ‘upward’ along the plane of the watch body, it’s one of the things that really annoys me when you get a lump of metal in the edge of the piccy, from the vid reviews i’ve seen of the cd20 max this isn’t an issue, but that camera is positioned closer to the upper side than this device !
thanks, that’s the s100 and cd12max out for me then, here’s hoping one of you gets a cd20max soon, and that the chinese rom works, like you, i can live without google services if i have to

CN version been out a while now. Same Soc as S100 above so wont be much difference apart from hardware. Global version to follow but if its anything like the CD12max global version ( same soc ) i’d give it a miss
