I ran Heart Fit all day set to check every hour. Worked great. When I checked Google Fit it had an entry in “resting heart rate” section of the Vitals section.
It looks like google fit took the recurring reports and calculated a resting heart rate since it wasn’t tied to a workout? (I’m guessing here)
I’m going to try it again tomorrow and see it Fit updates my resting heart rate.
For better calculations of resting heart rate don’t be afraid to crank up the measurement frequency. I use every 5 minutes 24 hours a day and battery impact is minimal.
I ran Heart Fit with 5 minute checks from 0800 to 1200 and google fit made a new entry for resting heart rate. no hit on the battery either.
