I have the KW98 with the same baseband and kernel versions. Without this option. No OTA updates. Is this going to be in a different build?

Build number: KW98_V1.1_B_20170907

Most of these watches have same kernel version. Just the build date differs. Radio version is also not that relevant.
Please have some patience (yeah I know it’s easy for me to say that)

Ok. Wasn’t sure which part is the actual firmware (for this change). So I’ll just wait for the new build to be pushed out. Thanks!

Can i install this Firmware on my Kingwear KW88? Thank you

No you can't. It says in the first post here. At this moment - Newly released KW99 & KW98 are supported. KW88 not confirmed - and not sure if it will be yet.
Well that's a big burst bubble there! Since the KW88 seems to be one of the most popular watches in the community. Oh well. I hope there is a more positive outcome, or just stick with sim-only calling.

pablo11 what about Lemfo its going to support this feature.

Nothing for my finow x3 plus???
:roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Will we get to see the technical walkthrough, source of it. Maybe porting to other models may become easier.

There will be no porting of this. This is not open source it is copyright protected. Not like the Android OS.

KW88 is very popular over the world, why it don’t have this option yet…

Which watch do you have? I will be releasing KW88 version very soon.

Not only is it popular kw88, it looks and works spectacular, only the battery drains too much. If we finally have this function in it, it would be great, but you need to charge the clock maybe twice a day, right?

I would not be surprised if you experienced high battery drain on the old kw88. It is an older model and has older main board and battery etc etc.... But it will be a nice function to have

Sadly only the LES1 would support it and so far they have not asked for this function to be added. However, I will see what I can do.

Finow are looking at getting it for the Q7 plus only so far.

Cheers

Pablo.

I seem to be looking for ‘the other way round’ tech.
I would rather prefer to use my phone to make and receive calls from my sim-enabled smartwatch (D5) over bluetooth.
I am not interested in being James bond in the marketplace, where I might be heard audibly but struggle to hear what the other party is saying, and with the wrist-to-mouth-to-ear movement for conversation.
I currently enjoy my sim-enabled smartwatch with Bluetooth headset and Bluetooth on call app…saving me lots of charges. (once in two days).

What about Zeblaze Thor?

I wouldn’t count on it  That would need changes in bluetooth stack on the phone. It might be (re)implemented in custom ROMs like Lineage or Omni etc I wouldn’t hold my breath tho.

I haven’t tried that at marketplace only while driving but I did not need to do any crazy wrist-to-mouth-to-ear I just drove with hands on steering wheel. It does come handy

KW88 added - available here:

 /thread/1751/kw88-bluetooth-call-firmware

Please use SP Tools version SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1712_Win

Use Firmware Upgrade option and flash pre-loader

It will wipe your watch so be prepared.

It is needed for this new platform.

Do not try to flash to another watch - you will brick it !!

Sonia kindly provided this video to help - if in doubt please research this first.

As always - you flash firmware at your own risk!!

@ pablo11

Many thanks, now i´ll try it. Report it later.
