Just because this question keeps coming up - BT calling is not and will not be supported on any Android watch using Android 7 onward.

Development is happening but A7 and on have a very secure BT stack and it will take a long time before it is completed.

at least we have the open watch project i really hope that they can do something,because its essential for costumers and the fabricant,i dont see the purpose for not to have this feature beside the stand alone device, all wear OS device that is main feature Bluetooth calling and replay notifications for A7 Smartwatches if will have Bluetooth calling, Sim card and replay notification it would be the winner.

As I said before, I am working with the Open watch project.
But, I would think that they are focusing on the base rom at this stage.

They will probably need to make a lot of changes to the BT stack to get the dialler to work and I’m guessing that it will be quite a while yet.

I have given them everything they need to continue their work but BT source is different.

Yes it is kind of half done on these Finow base watches (LEM5, X5, X5 Air and LEM5 pro)..... Basically there is no dialler app on these - to make a Bluetooth call you have to go to your contacts and search for the contact and then chose to call via Bluetooth....

I found it to be a waste of time because I could not just type in a new number and call it… If the number is not in your contacts it is really painful :frowning:

I don’t think it was ever fixed. Development stopped.

Yes, read the past posts on this board and you will find that currently that is not happening with Android 7.0 OS.

i found that only the Thore pro support both features. any others recommendations?

nope, it is made by finow and i think they have their own bt calling feature.

I am about to purchase a AllCall W1 smart watch from Gearbest. Can I feel confident that when it arrives it will be configured to allow “Bluetooth Call”? This will be my 1st smartwatch…

The AllCall W1 should be fine. It is Android 5.1 and came with the BT dialler as stock firmware.
