Radio Room… I don’t know who to give credit to, so I’ll send you here…
The green and red bands on the dial indicate radio silence times to listen for any weak signal distress calls for 3 minutes every 15 minutes. I included an Aldis lamp ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signal_lamp ) to use during these time periods. : )
