Query regarding AllCall W1

Hi all! Great to be a part of this community!

I need a little help in buying a smartwatch. My basic requirement is being able to take and make phone calls on my watch through bluetooth using the phone sim, ie. bluetooth calls. That is why i want to go with the AllCall W1 smartwatch.

My basic query is that whether i should go with this watch OR should i wait for a while for more powerful smartwatches with better cpu, ram, features etc. in the coming new year?

Also it would be nice if someone could let me know about the reliability and quality of the bluetooth calls on this watch, (ie. without a sim in the watch).

Regards

New watch will keep coming, if you keep waiting. They won't stop making these watches. It depends on you when you want to buy a watch. My suggestion would be to buy a watch that suits you best and if you don't find any that suits you, wait for some time and new watches will come. As of the other question, i don't know. I don't have that watch. Someone else might help you regarding that.

Those watches are powerful enough, no need to wait. Not only the w1 has BT call now, you have some choice.

thanks for the prompt reply ricktop. i have seen your contribution in universal launcher…great work friend!

and yeah there are more watches which have now been made bluetooth call friendly through firmware updates. But W1 has 2GBs of ram and that is a plus point with it. IQI I4 is also good but has only 1GB ram.

btw can you share some information regarding reliability and quality of the bluetooth calls on this watch, (ie. without a sim in the watch), like bluetooth connnection drops and voice quality etc.?

i was curious whether W1 would move ahead of Lollipop to atleast Marshmallow? because it has relatively better hardware config.

also i saw on this forum that only LEMFO watches are officially supported on this forum…so does that mean that AllCall W1 wont get regular firmware upgrades in future? That becomes important because i dont think that AllCall company will be releasing any firmware updates for this watch.

Thanks

Not a lot of feedback yet on BT Call. I bought an H2 to get the BT Call feature and found it not to work very well on my watch. So bad that I have actually stopped using the H2 because of this issue. I also have a Zeblaze Thor that I was not using and upgraded the watch with the BT Call firmware. The Thor works like a charm and I now wear it along with my I4 Air. While my experience is not conclusive of all watches that have the BT Call firmware, I have documented my experiences with both watches here, on this forum. Based on my tests I would consider the Thor to be an excellent choice for consideration of a BT Call watch, if like with me, that is a priority.

I will definitely take a look at your thread and yes BT call is the priority for me otherwise i would have gone for the Thor S.

Zeblaze Thor is definitely a good smartwatch but now as there is Thor S, i was hoping that the BT call feature gets introduced in the newer variant as well.

Still i prefer AllCall W1 because of its 2GBs of ram.

Anybody who can throw some light on the W1 Bt call feature?

The BT calling works absolutely fine on my watch with HTC10 phone.

One thing that will screw it up is using third party BT apps like watch droid.

This new stack does not support it.

I use WiiWatch which comes with the watch and it seems fine.

Thats nice. If WiiWatch does the job, then its fine!
