Q333 watches discussion

I just saw a new design FAW pop up on AliExpress, some call it Q333. Example:
”Smart Watch Phone 8GB RAM 256GB ROM Android 12.0 Face Unlock 2000mAh 4G LTE Type-C OTG Detachable Smartwatch”

It’s more of a tiny phone with 4” screen. Along the lines of DM100 or detachable watches. I wonder how true are the specs.

  • Is it really Android 12?
  • Is it really 8GB RAM (the higher specs, some are 4GB)?
  • Is it really the claimed Mediatek SoC? Is it 10 or 8 cores?
  • Does it support developer mode?
  • Will it be possible to maybe upgrade Android version?

I like that it’s USB-C but I don’t know why the wrist holder is designed in a way that it cannot be charged while on wrist. I may want to tether to it while wearing it for debugging / development. I wonder if the wrist holder can be modified (hole cut) for on-wrist charging or tether.

Actually some photos suggests that there’s a “blank” USB-C make is sticking out from the inside of the wrist mount and probably the presence of that ensures the snap mechanism so it won’t fall out. So this won’t be a simple hole cut if I want to mod it to be tether able while on wrist.

This is not a smartwatch but just a smartphone on the wrist…

Well, almost same can be said about a DM101 like big screen FAWs.

MTK is just crap on smart wearable because of power drain and this gon be so heavy its not useable as a watch and its so obvious its not useable in restricted environments either i dont see a point then just use a phone

DM101 is more little and wearable.

MTK works very well on some old watches..

at the time, we didnt have anything better
now we have w527

obviously no to all of your question

Not really : i’ve tested this mini phone.

Really Android 12, really Mediatek 8 core, developper mode ok.

So not no on all questions…

yet you ask if it’s real a12 or whatver Stuff You said; quite contradicting It Seems

You’ make a mistacke : it’s not me who ask if it’s real Android 12, It’s on Android 12 ! I have tested this phone. Problems encountered with this phone : freeze and reboot himself, so return to the seller… End of the joke.

most likely you can also use mtk client on this one like s998, but these is really quite old and not designed well its not any good, better just use a mini phone

coincidence, i just received this “watch” today. the blank USB-C is screwed in, so you can take it out by just unscrewing two screws, and then put it back in, without breaking anything. the phone still stays in the holder pretty well even without the blank USB-C. in fact, for a few minutes there i didn’t notice that the phone wasn’t lined up properly and pushed in all the way into the blank USB-C and it was a little loose feeling so I was trying to shake it out but it wouldn’t come out.

I got mine, I can see I can take it out, but that won’t free up the side so I could charge it while wearing. I ordered the 8GB RAM / 256 GB storage version and it has fake specs. 3GB RAM and at max 64GB storage. I don’t say I’m surprised, but I’m a little disappointed. The back of the tiny phone is separating visibly (the seal glue is not all around). I have to leave now for a week long trip, but as soon as I’m back I’ll take some photos.
