Pinning this post for one week - because I believe it is a great

@rafael_duarte That was…The firmware need some fine tuning, I’m use now with universal launcher, and works fine. I’m not use bluetooth or gps or sim.Wifi good stable comfortable to wear. Good for me.

Hey I bought it today! I also mentioned Im a member of this community! but doesn’t mean I will get a discount!

@Gaetan_Thiffault the discount is for when the $99 price expires.
The watch is usually $120. But they will let it go for $109 if you mention the RASC community. $99 is the cheapest it will be probably. They won’t discount it again below $99

@tim_Collins it is a matter of taste. I like the X5 design as well.
Both good watches. Really it is about looks and personal taste.
I have yet to see the X5 Air on the market but it won’t be long now…

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 Where can I buy it for $99? Everywhere I find this watch it costs more than 100 dollars. Also, I can’t contact Colmi on Aliexpress to tell them I saw the product here (there is no “contact” button on the ad). Please send me a link. Thanks.

@Lorenzo_Grillo very sorry mate - IQI gave me the wrong information. It is the 1gb version for $99 for a week :frowning:
I am so sorry guys :frowning:

I got one of these from Banggood. It’s my first smart phone watch, I like it a lot but yeah the battery life isn’t great. If I check Settings/About watch, it states 2.0GB RAM, but if I run AIDA64 & check the system settings it only indicates 1GB Installed RAM so I’m not convinced it actually has 2GB RAM, not the one I got anyway.

New firmware which fixes the problem is in the factory firmware section on our support forum
Link to the support forum is the first pinned post here

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 Thanks, I’d like to try a firmware update but if I’m reading the date at the end of the file names correctly the factory firmware section only lists updates for the I4 which appear to be older (20170518 most recent) than the firmware that shipped with my ‘I4PRO’ (20170710) Is there a I4PRO firmware update or something else important I’m missing? Thanks again

@Neil_Savanah Yep sorry - so new I had not linked it yet :slight_smile:

Here: http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/thread/1402/i4-2gb-ram-model-fw

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 No worries, thanks for that. It worked fine for me. AIDA64 is still saying it only has 1GB of RAM though but the system settings are still saying 2GB. This newest firmware upgrade you were good enough to provide was only for 2GB models & it didn’t kill the watch so hopefully it is 2GB in spite of what AIDA64 is saying, cheers.

@Neil_Savanah

Ahh - hang on - I linked you to the wrong link - Oh God - sorry :frowning:

I thought you meant X5 Air 2gb ram watch.
Use this one - http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/thread/1402/i4-2gb-ram-model-fw

Actually - I did link you to the correct firmware
Did you choose firmware upgrade and does the watch have a thin white line around the outer edge of the screen?

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 Sorry if I did a crappy job explaining in the earlier post but yes I did apply the firmware update in the link you provided & it worked fine for me, thanks a lot. Yes it does have the white line & 15, 30, 45 etc. as in the picture above, & the settings/about watch states 2.0 GB ram now as it did with the initial firmware but AIDA64 still says 1GB.

@Neil_Savanah this is a worry !
Try CPUz

@Neil_Savanah I tried AIDA 64 just now - it says 2gb ram

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 CPUz is making me even more depressed haha, it’s more specific than AIDA64 & says Total RAM 971MB. Full disclosure, when I saw the AIDA64 result I took a pic & sent it to Banggood, complained & got a healthy refund so I feel even though it’s not what I initially wanted it’s great value for money now.

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 I’m just thankful the firmware update didn’t brick the thing & I can still continue enjoying it even though it’s RAM numbers suck

Ha ha - they sent you a lemon and they know it. They don’t refund easily so they must know about it. Well done @Neil_Savanah You got a 1gb model for nothing :slight_smile:
Is storage 16gb?

@Pablo_Eleven_Pablo11 Well you could say next to nothing, yes it does have 16gb storage. Also, It may be worth adding that I for some reason tried the latest I4 1GB model Firmware update before I got your link & ran the watch for a day with that older firmware & it ran noticeably more sluggish with that build than the initially shipped V1 build & this new V2 build you provided, so I’m glad you did. After only a day’s use I think the battery life is a little better too now with the V2 build.
