Pedometer registering millions of steps while lying still

My LEM7 is not counting steps anymore. Even after a total reset is not doing anything. At the end of the day it jumps to millions of counted steps.
LEMFO is talking about reinstalling flash. But it’s not giving any instructions.
Any ideas?
