My KW08 came with a magnetic charging base and it is really convenient. So I got the idea to build one from a picture I saw on the RAS google plus forum of a converted apple iwatch charging stand (first picture) by Jordi Montero. Using materials I already have available I thought I can do it one better and build one. Here is the result of about 3 hours work using materials I had on the boat.
Great work! Do you have any idea how/where to order a replacement charging cable for the I4? I’m having problems finding them! Thank you!
I don’t know off the cuff. But Ali-express often sells the cables. I have several from all the different watches I’ve bought. I find that for example the ones for the KingWear watches usually work ok with the I4. Since the magnets may be different strengths I have found the one that came with the watch often works best. So I have got in the habit of labeling them so I know. Also I found the H1 cable is the only one that will transfer data for that watch. I thought there was a problem with the watch until I discovered that the cable that came with the watch was the only one that would work for data. Must use a different pin arrangement.
That’s why a charging stand works so well. The placement of the watch on the connector maintains a constant connection and you don’t have to worry about breaking the connection when moving the watch.

No more precise positioning to get a charge. Place it on the stand and walk away.
Received my new H2 today and it also works on the charging stand.

I haven’t had the H2 long enough to really compare but bought it mainly because of the Bluetooth calling feature. I have always liked the tethering watches because of that feature but they lacked elsewhere. I still love the I4Air. It is smooth, well designed has a great standard launcher and I get 24 to 30 hours battery life with Sim Card installed and good battery management. If it just had BT calling but maybe some day.
The H2 has a lot going for it and I will provide more feed back after I have had a chance to put it through the ringer.
