recently i bought an Lemfo lem5 Pro
after playing with for a while i now have an complete review with plus and minus points
this is not an review about the appearance of the watch, everybody knows it looks awesome.
first of all i use the lem5 for running, at home and when i am om the road.
running:
if you bought this watch for sport purposes i may not be the best choice.
After installing several apps the best functioning apps are jog tracker and an dutch app called running with Evy.
jog tracker just functions perfectly with the small display you can easily see all your data on one display, one of the disadvantages is that during running the data is very small and not that easy to read when you are running.
heart rate data is missing, it is on the watch but you only can access the heart rate function with the embedded app.
running with evy works better because she talks in intervals and lets you know what your average speed, distance, etc is .
this works better for me because i don’t have to look on my display.
but in case i do want to know the characters are bigger then with other apps.
only one problem i can only login with Facebook normal login button is missing.
and you will need to put your smartwatch display in square mode.
but still with no heat rate support.
the lem5 pro has an embedded app with an step counter en other functions, but after trying it does not work for me.
it looks that the heart rate monitor embedded app works good, i can feel when my heart rate gets to high the watch gives an accurate reading.

at home:
there are 2 apps i use for connecting with my smartphone
the first works great watch droid assistant I love it!!
it allows me to receive messages from whats app and read them, the picture of the person sending the message is shown on your watch love it.
i also use the app for spotify sound,and track selecting.
when skipping an track i even lets you see the name of the next track.
only downside is that when you clean up your watch memory the app is gone and you need to restart it.
that happens a lot with the lem5 pro.
One other downside is that this app only works on Bluetooth. so your watch will always need to near your smartphone.
second app that i use with my other smartwatch is Join.
cant use it on the lem5 pro Dow.
lem 5 pro has an problem with keeping apps alive, it kills all apps and has an build in restriction of a few apps you can load.
so far i haven’t been able to booth apps on startup it just wont load.
if you look in setting>more settings>about the phone> developer settings>background process limits you will see that there is an maximum of four apps
however when i set 4 apps next time i booth then it is back on 2 apps. so there is an issue over here hope it will be fixed in the next firmware update.
note, and clock watch face with an step counter also counts as one app i found out, so this is not ideal.
normally you get popups with “Join” however when you load the app you only get system tray notifications, that are accessible when you pull the tray down.
this is because you cant grand apps access in the accessibility setting.
settings>accessibility >services> Join
when i am here with a little help of the app “setting search”, i cant tun join on so no popups op the lem5 pro with Join.
That is really an disappointment because join is the number one app for working with notifications from your phone, and works on wifi and data connection,
no Bluetooth needed …
At home i also like to use floating toucher, it is an simple app that works good, but not on the lem5 pro.
app gets killed after opening to many apps.
then you have to restart it.

on the road
i have several ip camera’s at home
an app that works great is "ip camera viewer lite.
it enables me to look at more than one ip camera, and even listen to the audio.
no problem installing it at all on the lem5 pro.

the default keyboard is not ideal.
cant work with it and the outer rim does not work properly
i installed gboard by google works a lot better.

youtube app works just fine although you have an very small screen there is no problem watching a youtube video.
Battery life
when i do not play al lot with the watch it will last for 5 hours.
when i am running it last with gps, sceen on and running app on for 1,5 hour.
charging time is 2 hours this is really fast!!
end conclusion
- works with a lot of apps
- nice bright display
- battery charges really fast.
- heart rate monitor is accurate
- square screen mode is perfect for some app’s that wont work on an round display and you are missing buttons.
+sound is good volume good to hear. - spoken search with google works perfect!
- so many clock faces that are easy to install ( thanks to all of you!!!)
- cant booth with apps like floting toucher, Join, or watch droid assistant.
-cant enable apps in accessibility settings - cant use heart rate sensor for 3rd party apps
- has a really bad default keyboard installed cant use all the characters
