It would look very strange indeed if the watch face was actually set above the black area… It has to have a little bit missing to work.
As I said before, the style of of the face makes a difference. This one for example looks ok.

They were wrong. The watch is sealed and the screen is now useless.
So that was a quick lesson learned!!!
I need more time to assess the battery life. Takes time to realise the power consumption.

This is why there has to be a black area on the screen… The controller has to go somewhere. As the screen is truly edge to edge - there is no choice.

i have seen a video on YT which does wrong with the watch, yes, i DO’NT have it but still considering the long way that these watches have done is amazingly impressing, the LEM X is far a suprising watch none of us has thought of this huge monster will come out, ppl need to REMEMEBER this is a smartwatch not a smartphone or a tablet or your pc. so…seeing that trying to watch YT videos on it or play games or surf the web is just ridiculous (MY OPINION) the watch should have only 2 main goals: notifications and activity tracking and to be able to do phone calls and sms…that’s it! yes, it would be great if it did’nt have the flat tyre but as we know the reason is understandable now. my hope in a smartwatch that it will last a full day of usage with connectivities on and great connectivities. do’nt you think so?
btw, one funny thing that has been said on the YT video that it runs full andorid 7.1 as on phone and it is NOT! it was modified by the software team to work with smartwatches and to work smoodly as meaning of battery, so…yes, i really like the honesty of these YT channels.
Yeah that person doesn’t know to much, that’s why I did ask to Pablo11 for his personal opinion, yes the watch is amazing needs I little bit the tune up, that’s why we have this community to go forward and maybe in the feature we can install a custom rom like the open watch project

Hi Sophie! Unfortunately the built in fitness app seems doesn't make use of GPS! A big drawback! By the way, i would add that contemporary smartwatches should be able to interact with owner by simple offline voice commands...

It is a custom build but it is Android 7.1.
The video flipping is just the same as any Android phone… It will need to be customised to view video in full screen in portrait mode…
Try it on your phone… Go full screen and video is flipped to landscape.

Hi Sophie! I know that but i would like to think that a built in fitness app is efficiently implemented in order to consume noticeable less battery than any other fitness app… and this is quite important since battery life is very critical on these android smartwatches…

What about to give the firmware to the people’s of the open watch project to start working in TWRP recovery and for the project instead
i use 2 activities apps which work all day long 24\7 and the watch still last a full day usage, i got to say that things have improved over time and i can even truck my sleeping with the watch without pluging it to charger the whole night.
