lemfo lem x

Ok thanks

Well that’s interesting.
Have you looked at the cellular settings?
On the watch in settings, connect.
You should be able to to check the APN settings in their and confirm if they are correct.

If everything looks OK and you have tested the sim in a mobile phone to confirm it is working - you can contact these guys and see if they can help:

I have an arrangement with Lemfo for the problem.
Tell them I asked you to contact them.
Please email them here
order@lemfo.com
and tell them about the IMEI problem and they will reply to your email.

They will send you a fix :+1:

Thank you for the reply earlier. I would love to get this done, but would have no idea how to decompile an .apk file. I will look into Macrodroid tomorrow, but what I am looking to do, you described in that last sentence!

Yes it was a pain to find working method to compile this file. This is what finally worked: forum.xda-developers.com/hd8-hd10/general/root-enable-daydream-screensaver-change-t3771038

If you know how to root the watch and feel comfortable with digging in the root folder I can provide you with moded framework-res.apk with boosted max brightness. You will have then to use Es File Explorer or adb command to push file into your watch.

However I hope that developers will include higher max brightness in the next firmware. I know they care about battery and temperature (watch heats up also from display leds) but being not able to see screen on a sunny day nullifies the use of the watch in my view.

For those who wish the watch was made of metal: I believe that you face the choice: either plastic watch with removable strap or metal watch with strap that will die on you and you won’t be able to swap it. I don’t think antennas can work in a metal case. My last watch was No.1 D5+ with really strong metal case. Now it’s useless because I wore down the strap and they don’t sell the spare.

Thank you! That would be great. Would be great to get the watch brightness as high as it will go if need be. Considering that I do not leave the display on, I do not think it will affect my battery a whole lot. Like you said, it would just be usefull outside on sunny days.  I will root the watch today.

The main reason for the “quality control” and choice of materials is because these devices are made in huge quantities and the key word is price.

If its going to cost too much - it will not happen…

It’s a real challenge and is one of the main reasons for my visit to Shenzhen again next week.

A REAL premium product needs to be made but funding it is extremely difficult and we have tried several times already…

But I will not give up :slightly_smiling_face:

tell to them to do a crowdfunding at least 1000 unit, Pablo11 ,do you  realized ,that peoples are looking for bigger screen size like the LemX  and others things like; waterproof and Bluetooth calling and SMS replay, beside the changeable strap, classic, sporty rugged design with front camera ,materials; carbon fiber and stainless steal. i forgot 4 generation gorilla glass and LPTS display, like the Thor 4 pro, because this screen is a little out up of the bezel and lights everything nice.
So we need like you just said, a real premium Android smartwatch

It would be very good a smartwatch with big screen like of the LEMX, without tire bored and AMOLED … The carcass could be carbon fiber as in xiaomi stratos 2 (at least it seems to be).

I messed up my watch, I think, trying this it seems. I was able to back up the original file with no problem. I put the apk you sent me in my downloaded folder with the intention of copying and pasting the file in /sdcard/system/framework. I first renamed the original file to framework-res.apk.old. When I did that, the watch locked up and I had to force it off. Now it is stuck on the Lemfo screen and will not boot. I may end up restoring this thing again unless there is a way to access it with my PC and either put the file back the way it was, or copying yours. Any ideas?

I was able to get the watch back up and running by pushing the file you sent me to the watch using ADB, but I lost root. When I reflash Magisk to re-root it, it goes with no errors, but then the watch gets stuck on the Lemfo screen again like it did before. I backed up my original framework-res.apk file, but stupidly kept it as a renamed file in the \system\framework folder and I cannot access it. Do you have a copy of the original you can send me a link to? Sorry to be a pain. While I have used ADB in the past for things like this, I am not very experienced with it. I really appreciate all of the help!

This morning I tried flashing Magisk on the watch again in TWRP. The same thing happens as last night. The file flashes with no errors, I reboot, the Lemfo screen pops up, music plays with an animated graphic, but cuts off all of a sudden, then the watch goes back to the Lemfo screen and just stays there. I have a feeling I am going to have to just reflash this thing and start all over. I cannot access the system files on the watch using ADB because it is not rooted, and I cannot install Magisk.

Edit: I just ended up doing a complete reset and reroot. I think I will just live with the screen as it is, and think I am spending too much time screwing around with the watch than enjoying it! ;p)

bluetooth connect my phone to lemx is ok. use phones internet, no sim card in watch.
Microsoft outlook get email ok.
but cannot get text messages or notification of these on watch. please any ideas or app to use?

Use Watch Droid Phone on your phone, and Watch Droid Assistant on the watch, both version 9.1. If you use any version higher I believe new Google rules keep that feature from working.

Hi All,

Just got my Lem X yesterday and other than a poor start with the battery i love it. I just need to tweak the options that save battery so that i get what i need without using all the battery… i’ll get there!

On that note though… i’m on the hunt for a watch face that is mostly black and is simple to read… something similar to the digitless v2.0 in seafoam available on facer… is there something like this for full android watches and if so any ideas where i could get it?

thanks!

Hi just recently got my lemfo lemx where I got it they said it was unlocked and I am currently a Verizon customer when I put my Sim card in the data works but I cannot get text messaging Or voice calling to work any ideas

Hey there..

My gut feel is the 3G Band (talk/text) is not supported by Verizon?  I think Verizon is CDMA not WCDMA.

The LEMX only supports 850/2100/1900 WCDMA/UMTS

The 4G (data) will work cause Verizon LTE Bands are supported by LEMX

I hope this helps.

Sounds about right. I’m sure it is CDMA… And I don’t think it is supported. :+1:

leafar and all

You should get an OTA any time now.

We have worked on some issues.

There is a setting now under Display which will allow you to choose if the screen lights up for incoming messages - you will see this very soon

There is the battery saving task killer which you should be familiar with now but there is a new option in Settings, More.

It’s an app compatibility mode for people who have issues with Chrome or any app that does not display correctly on the screen.

The most recent firmware version is 20190115 but a new one is coming with the display setting for messages.

By the way, these options will be included in OTAs going out to all the watches.

If the watch is rooted, will this update run, and if so, will it break root?

You can’t take any OTA if you are rooted it will fail in the security checks.

You would have to flash stock and start again.

Just did the OTA and now have 20190115. The new setting  under Display to allow screen light ups is not in this update.
