Lem 5 Usb does not recognize for pc

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Lem 5 I connect it to the computer by USB and it does not recognize it, I have done all kinds of tests, reset factory mode, different cables, different ports, enable usb debug mode, install mtp driver, check cable Base with a digital multimeter and when I connect it the only thing I get is load mode, nothing else the pc does not detect it.

I have been advised to do a hard reset following this youtube video

But I do not trust to lose information if I lose information and I’m not clear if it solved the problem.
Can you help me?

Thanks

1. make sure that drivers are installed:  2. install usb mtp:

Thanks for your quick reply soniasophie but the problem is not that, I am saying that when I connect it does not appear anything in the device manager of windows, the drivers have already installed them but since I can not detect it I can not do anything.
I start to think that Maybe it’s a clock hardware failure

make sure that debugging is’nt on. if your pc still does’nt recognize the watch that means that mtp usb is’nt installed.

I think we do not understand each other, the computer recognizes android devices, I have connected 3 different smartphones and no problem, just happens to me with the clock.
Yes if I have enabled debugging but nothing.

The difference with smartphones is that I have the menu to choose if I want to charge or use the mtp and the clock does not.

Does your watch get charged from the USB ?
It’s only the data connection that appears not to be done ?
Have you opened the dock to check that nothing is wrong ?

i do understand but now i do’nt, did you enable debugging? you not suppose to.
did you go into devices manager and saw if the computer sees the device (not as a watch but as device)? when you plug the watch to the computer, does it charges the watch?

Hello

-did you enable debugging? Yes
-did you go into devices manager and saw if the computer sees the device (not as a watch but as device)? Yes and no new device appears
-when you plug the watch to the computer, does it charges the watch? Yes

I installed mtk drivers following this video and when I do a search for connected device I get this

full_w618_wgl
But when I say next I get the message: windows does not have any network profile for this device

Hi again, I still can not get any computer to recognize the device by cable.

For those who have a similar problem, the solution I have adopted has been to install on the clock a server application ftp (wifi ftp Server) with which through the windows file browser I can work as if it were connected by cable.

The watch bought it from second hand and the previous owner makes sure that he could connect to the pc by cable without problem, I do not understand that is what happened, the only thing I did was restore it to its factory values, maybe as soon as a new one arrives Update via ota the problem is solved only, so far everything points to the clock is as if the mtp connection driver was deleted or did not exist.

Greetings and thanks for your interest

You can try to flash again the FW that could solve your issue if something has been deleted …

Okay, but if you were not clear if you do a hard reset, flash the firmware … uuff are bigger words!
I have looked in the manufacturer roms section and I do not find the lem 5 w618, I see that for this version says x5 + but lem5 not, is it correct?

Greetings and thanks

IT should be :

/thread/553/lemfo-lem5-factory-firmware-20170111

I had the same problem.
Easy to fix and no hard reset needed or so.

Just press WINDOWS button and R and type devmgmt.msc
You should see your LEM5 wich is not installed correctly. (exclamation mark in yellow)
So go to change driver options of that device and search the computer for drivers.
Choose driver from list and you should get the option select MTP USB device.
Use this device and you should be done and the LEM5 will be recognised in your Windows.
Good luck.
