L-Launcher Support Thread

I dont need animations at start, its very easy to implement. I want to make changeable complications for any watchface, as wear os have. Its need some time for implement, so i want to know if it possible to make complications using standard clockskin features.

Just to be clear @LineR,
Are you asking if a function (complication) can be added or removed from a face while it is present in the launcher?
For example, add or remove battery level indicator or weather dataā€¦?
Basically, customising data sources and icons while the face is presented by the launcher?

A bit like adding and removing widgets - on a watch face.
Or have I got it totally wrong?

My limited understanding of how the face engine works for clockskin format, is that the ā€œcomplicationsā€ (or functions as we call them) are compiled in the xml prior to the face being presented to the launcher.

Personally I have never seen a function that can be added or removed from the clockskin xml ā€œon the flyā€.
It canā€™t be changed once it is in use - I think.

I suspect that to achieve this type of functionality, the face engine would have to be rewritten in different code and the clockskin format would have to be converted to match this.
I remember that Iscle experimented with something that could convert clockskin faces to another format. Mostly because it greatly reduced the size of each face file and improves battery consumption.

I guess it comes down to two things for the people if the face engine format is changed:

a) is a different face engine and skin format going to use more battery power or less?

b) people are used to creating faces in the clockskin format and so a conversion tool is needed.

This is just my humble opinion of course. As I said before, I am no expert when it comes to watch faces.

What you have said is 100% correct and not possible . The functions are written in the .xml files and cannot be altered :+1:

Good afternoon. Thereā€™s so much here that Iā€™m confused. Please tell me which version of the launcher is working?

Hopefully he will reply, but these people have private lives as well. So may take a while.

Thanks Pablo, but the link is down.

@Miguel_Rodriguez1
Thanks for letting me know.
Have you tried the last posted version?

Paul thank you very much. Yes, I had tried WearLauncher, and the development effort is greatly appreciated, but it still lacks a lot. I thought that the current Launcher was L-Launcher but I couldnā€™t download it from the Link, after a few tries I could but I get an error. For the moment I will continue using Universal Launcher, Thank you!!!
