I tried the app “Double Tap Screen on and off…” from the Google Play store. It works quite well with one major exception. Battery Drain! If you use the double tap - on, what it does is place a black screen on the device, so in reality the screen is still on. In the dark, you can see that the screen is still on but black. If they could configure it so the screen does in fact turn off, it would be awesome. Or perhaps dimming the screen to zero would help with the battery problem. There are 2 or 3 apps that do this. Try them and see… You just uninstall them if you don’t like. 
Those apps can only work with the android provided functions which are pretty limited regarding direct hardware access.
The only possible way to have gestures working (double-tap-to-wake for example) without impacting the battery would be to have it enabled on the touchscreen driver itself.

In order not to consume battery and have the display turned off, the double tap should be included in the firmware. The PlayStore applications are mostly suitable for amoled displays.

You need to search Google for MTK IMEI .

By the way, be prepared for issues after using it.
Android 10 is very easy to corrupt by changing anything but hopefully you’ll be ok after a factory reset… After you have changed your IMEI

You can do anything with the watch while charging put personally i wouldnt and only charge as long as you need to help battery ( ie not all night if you can ) . I have not tried this but if under settings ( battery saver / optimization ) you turn OFF youtube does it play music in background ? Thanks
I think YouTube requires a paid subscription in order to play in the background. Have you tried Spotify or something else?

Have you gone to the Optimisation option on the watch menu and check the Clean Task option is off?

The behaviour is perfectly normal, same happens on a smartphone.

This is very true.
However, if that battery saver in the Optimisation menu is not disabled… Nothing will play in the background.

It’s system menu embedded in the FW, so the response is no. (not without modifying the system)…
