When I connect cable to watch it won’t charge
By the way issue appeared when I updated to beta 3
But there is 1 more thing look at picture maybe it’s because of that???
Your charging pins are worn . Nothing to do with firmware . If after cleaning they dont work you are stuck i’m afraid . Try a little alchohol
is there a way to fix the charging pins?
Finding spare parts will be difficult and require a lot of skill i am afraid. However its not impossible
These holes occur when a poor connection between the charging contacts of the watch and the charger (due to dirt or damage) leads to tiny sparks flying over a longer period of time. These destroy the charging contacts in the long term. There are conductive paints, for example for model making, that can be used to temporarily repair this damage. I have already tested it successfully, but I don’t know how durable it is in the long term.
You should try to prevent this damage by always keeping the contacts meticulously clean. Not by sanding them down, but by cleaning them regularly with alcohol, for example.
I have had success in other electrical applications using window demister repair paint. It sits up in a droplet, conducts current and appears to work on the mp3 players and torches i have used it on. The paint is designed to be resiliant where heat is part of the conductive bi product. I haven’t tried it on a watch.
