Absolutely not. On the contrary, in fact, theoretically the deterioration or aging of a lithium-ion battery is minimized with a charge level of 45% and an ambient temperature between 5 and 10 ºC. In this state you can keep a battery almost as good as new for 3 or 4 years, probably more depending on the quality of the internal components. In short: charging to 50% is good as long as the charge level never drops below 5%. If it reaches 0%, you are shortening the optimal life of your battery drastically.
