Hello, I purchased a Kospet Optimus Pro smartwatch for my birthday in June and am very happy with it. However, one of the main reasons I bought it was so I could leave my big Galaxy Note 9 at home and make calls from my watch. Specs say it will work on 4G LTE but Verizon says they don’t recognize the smartwatch so they can’t connect it. Has anyone had any luck with this? Thank you.
I did a simple web search and found this. The most likely problem is the watch works on GSM networks and Verizon works with CDMA networks. They are not compatible. The watch specs list WCDMA but that is not the same as CDMA. It is 3G service but not all carriers provide this service and its access is limited.
So basically your watch is not compatible with Verizon or Sprint, which is also CDMA. But I understand that Verizon will switch over to GSM some time in the future and if so may become compatible.
