IWC AQUATIMER CHRONOGRAPH EDITION “EXPEDITION CHARLES DARWIN”
The choice of bronze for the case pays homage to the well-known ship, HMS Beagle, that carried Charles Darwin on his expedition to the Galapagos Islands. In those days, bronze – which is non-corrosive – was used for portholes, fittings and nautical instruments. Depending on the use to which it is put, bronze develops a patina in the course of time and darkens in colour, giving the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin” its own unmistakable character.
