How to use X11 crown

I’m Back to an Android Smartwatch.
I bought the X11 Android 8.1 Dual Cams 1.85" Round 4GB/64GB from Alibaba.
After that, I installed the Universal Launcher and added some apps I like to use.

There’s a crown on that watch that can be used in the original launcher to switch the clockface. But using the universal launcher, scrolling the crown doesn’t do anything. Does anyone know if and how I can use this crown to scroll through menus and scroll on websites?
That’s what I think a nice feature to use on this watch.

Hello G1NT0N1C,
That’s an option I didn’t check.
I will give you the result.

Hello G1NT0N1C,
Yes this is the solution :grinning:
I maped the turning of the crown to the scroll motion. This seems to be F6 and F7

Thanks again for the suggestion.

HI?
do U try to install watchfaces with clockskin folder?

Hello Jj_Gallais,

Yes, I also use the clockskin folder.
Works fine.

with Standard launcher or Universal launcher?
And did Steps and heart rate works on clockskin watchfaces?

The default launcher of the X11 doesn’t support the clockskin folder. I needed to install the Universal Launcher. The default launcher of the X11 only has 5 clockskins and it’s not possible to add more.

I chose this X11 model because of its affordable price (under €50) and see it mainly as a toy to experiment with.

As you say yes is’t a toy. Have tested it and return to the seller because too many problems in the firmware : dont synchronyse contacts, doesnt ring or display notifications from the apps, Google and Assistant partially implemented, no data cable ( only charging ). Nice hardware but bad software…

And that is the case with nearly all A8 watches. I will be interested to hear if using “widgets” with UL disappears after a reboot.

Hello Andy,
Yes, after a reboot, I need to give the Universal Launcher access to the Widgets. However, I cannot save this setting. This means that after the reboot, the added widgets are gone, and you need to add them again.

If Android 8 is the issue, is there a way to flash the X11 to a different Android version?

No way, sorry.

Thanks for reporting this. The developer @Eric_Crochemore is aware of this issue

Thanks

Perfect!
If he needs a tester, I hope he’ll ask me.

This wont happen as the development of this launcher has stopped. Thanks
