I am wanting to use a few apps on my watch, but my google account password uses an ampersand (&) and there is no key for it on the keyboard. Aside from getting a bluetooth keyboard or a usb adapter, is there any way to type this symbol on the watch natively? Is there a different watch based keyboard that has this symbol that I could sideload? I only need the key one time and it is really frustrating…
install the Old Keyboard from Google Play, in some apps you will not see what you are tapping but it works
What is it called? I will have to sideload it as I need that key to type in my Google password so I can’t get it from Google Play

you can use google keyboard and long press on g will give you this symbol (&) but i think also on the stock keyboard you should have i have never seen a keyboard without all symbols.

It is the same way on my android TV boxes. I don’t understand why they would leave out a major symbol. To connect my android tv boxes to my account I have to plug in a usb keyboard.
