Hi people,

Not sure if this is the right page to post on, but Im hoping someone is able to help me,

I have an X5 and have recently purchased a KW88.

I followed the new instructions on how to add watches to the “clockskin” folder.

Some work, but for the most part all my analogue watches extra needles are way off.

Please see attached image, I really only care about this one face, but if someone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

Yep, the current KW88 face engine is very old and needs updating. They have also altered it a bit so various things are different. It’s the Finow face engine but it’s an older version and has been butchered a bit…

Thank you for your replies, once I installed it on my X5 I was in love, lol.

I guess I will have to wait until something else is sorted out, meanwhile I am happy to see the scene has grown phenomenally and you guys are creating the most gorgeous faces, props to you all.

The company, Sinsoft, are going to fix it themselves for KingWear and IQI. They are meeting with us on Friday to discuss the way forward and the improvement of the face engine. Might have some feedback next week.

I’m thinking of changing my X5 for a KW88
How do you find the battery life and Bluetooth tethering on the KW88 against the X5?

Hey Andrew,

The battery life in my opinion on the KW88 is great.

The Bluetooth tethering is more or less the same.

I’ve tried two apps and the second one mediatek smart device seems to connect and pass notifications through well, however if you move out of coverage it seems the connection is not established again unless you reconnect them.

The build and feel of the x5 is more premium but the kw88 is very good and a lot of people mistake it for the tag heuer connected watch.

You may want to hold out and see how the kw98 is, it seems like a good device but still I think the software will be left a little crippled, as they don’t really market these as companions, more phone/watch with the sim in it.

I just ordered one but it’s by kobwa and I don’t know what the difference is if any to the kingwear.
I have put a post out and hope someone can help me out.

Hi Andrew. I have the same problem and agree the face looks great on the KW88. I have put in a face request to have this optimised for the KW88. But as Al Rod said, it will take time. For now I’ve deleted the files for the smaller hands so at least it doesn’t look so bad while waiting for the updated version. Just a thought…
