hey there all,
Im not sure this face is possible due to its super complex nature balanced against smartwatch screen size. The Jacob Astromia collection are true works of art(see video for the movement) and would provide a challenge to any designer. A KW88 skin would be amazing!!!
Thanks to anyone who can realise this design.
Wow ! It’s tourbillon .

This might be possible, but it would take a lot of animation on the tourbillon. The amount of frames for a full rotation, plus the rotation of the whole section around the watch would have to be perfect. This is a face that would take weeks, minimum, to realize. The biggest problem is keeping everything moving AND rotating around the watch
@G1NT0N1C , @Marco_Ferreira Do you know if something like this is possible to realize? I really want to try this. It’s less movement than the above watch, but the same series. It still requires the clock part with the numbers to remain upright while the hands move and the clock part itself rotates around the face. I’m gonna try a proof-of-concept to see if it’s even possible.missing/deleted image from Google+
Of course something like that is possible. WIP…

This is how the actual watch moves: https://youtu.be/LVdsAxo1nxU

@G1NT0N1C if I’m looking at it correctly, you’d need to be able to set multiple points of rotation. @Marco_Ferreira might be able to work it into a future release of WFD, but it’s not in the current one. it would probably require being able to group animated items and defining a rotational ‘orbit’. Currently, WFD doesn’t support grouping of animated items like digital layers or hands. You can rotate stationary items, but only at their center, e.g. you can’t have a rotating layer rotate around the center of the Watchface. Likewise, you can’t rotate an item around a circular background, yet keep the image upright.
@Nicholas_Herczeg you doesnt need more funktions, you just have to use them in a smarter way. I already have a full funktional Testface of this Jacob & co (without fokus of any details)
M/y if using continuous rings will deliver same effect ,but rings has to be different sizes not like original one
The rings has to represent animated frames from rotation of the Earth and the demand
For the mechanism probably will be same
@Edward_Kroll thanks buddy! Gotta love an over the top timepiece lol.
@G1NT0N1C awesome will look forward to seeing the results. I knew it would technically be a challenge. I’m now thinking about getting the software and learning myself. What software do you use buddy?
@Alan_Lam I do live this. It’s bad shit crazy over the top,but aweso.e as a result. Certainly not a design anyone is likely to rip off lol.
@G1NT0N1C Do I have to combine CSM with WFD? I’m still not at the point where I’ve used animation. At least not to the level y’all have. Would I be able to study your testface, see what I can learn?
@G1NT0N1C I can figure out how to make the Earth, tourbillon and watch parts rotate, but I can’t think of how to make them rotate around the center. If there was a way to rotate everything clockwise except for the watch background, which would rotate anticlockwise at the same rate, the watch back would remain stationary, while the hands move correctly. All I can figure is something related to grouping or animation?
