Here’s an Epos retrograde automatic watch. I thought a long time how to realize it in clockskin format. Finaly I find a way, a big THANK YOU to @Eric_Crochemore . Needs Universal launcher, because it was necessary to use an animated GIF.
Enjoy!
I put the WFD XML in the folder by mistake. Fixed.
@G1NT0N1C You included the WatchFace Designer .xml on the download zip. I don’t know if that was on purpose but you may not want to include it (or at least put it on a different folder), so I advise you to re-upload your watchface without said .xml file. At the very least, it will be less 923 Kb on our watches
And great job, by the way
I just don’t understand why you need an animation, but I’m sure there’s a very good reason for that
@Marco_Ferreira UPS, I was in a hurry, I will correct it tomorrow fixed. The Gif is the only workaround i found for a problem with mulrotate-3 that I have with this watchface. I used a 2nd hour hand and the gif is to cover the 2nd hand in the right moments. If you see a better way to make it work I would be glad if you can tell me.
@Marco_Ferreira Issue is that in WFD and with 12H time display, hours are between 0-11h, but on the system launcher (or mine) time is with 1-12h so a trick is needed.
@Eric_Crochemore Wow. I’ve been testing this and I can’t believe how buggy the stock launcher is. I can’t even imagine what they were thinking when they developed the rotation for the hand!
On AllCall W2 stock launcher, just forget it. mulrotation of -3 means to rotate counter-clockwise at 3 times the speed (so rotation=rotation*mulrotate directly)
On Finow X5 Air stock launcher it does the division. BUT (and this is a big but) if the clock is set on 12h, just as you said, the top hour (right after the ) is not used at all and 12h00 is on the bottom of the angle span. If 24h is selected, then the top angle is used (00h is there), BUT the angle span is 720/-mulrotate, so 12h30 (PM, of course) is after the regular angle span of 360/-mulrotate.
So, congratulations, your launcher makes an excellent job on mimicking this strange behavior! I just don’t know how to simulate it on WFD! I guess I’ll have to add an option for 24h/12h on simulation and do all kind of exceptional behavior.
I found out what was the problem. I pasted in clockskin folder the zip file instead of unzipped folder, thinking that it was like .watch files. Ok now. Great!!!
