A good subject too! I remember I thought…while listening to Eric…“This kids got something…who knows?..one day he might even play as magnificently as the Doons does”! 
(The fact that he never did reach my level is no reflection on Dear ole Eric! 
) And Gaz, Son, If you hit any watch hard enough with a hammer, it’s gonna make “Music”…To be sure not sweet music, but it’s gonna sing!

I also played guitar in my youth - not professionally, but quite acceptable for an amateur. I still remember trying to learn “Tears in Heaven” and failing all along the line. This track is incredibly difficult in the original version, as played by Clapton. After that I realized that I would earn my money in other ways…
Tears In Heaven is a very cool track (and cleverly written & played) . it’s just a terribly sad back story.
It 's a sad truth that it’s often the tragedy which brings out the best in creative music writing.
