google voice typing cannot be used for this field

Hi,

I am getting this message when i open keyboard with voice input capabilities such as MessagEase. When i hit the mic button then it says something like Initializing and stays there forever. Google Voice works though so the hardware must be ok. I am using a Finow X5+.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I tried several but they all seems to halt on Initializing. E.g. Go keyboard as well…

have you tried jbak or touchpal or onetouch?

Tried Jbak and Touchpal. Same thing. I don’t believe TouchOne has voice input?

does with the stock msg app it work well? maybe the problem is with the app you are using.

Yes, it works with the SMS app just fine. I am trying to use it with Google Play but same problem. Weird…

true, because i use it as well with writing and Gplay store and works fine with English and my native langauge.

did you set the google voice typing?

Well, trying to fix this i reset the watch using Reset Device. Then selected default English (US) language to setup the watch. Then connected to wifi. Then opened the SMS app and opened the English (US) - Android Keyboard (AOSP), hit the Mic and could speak using this keyboard looking at the google voice input screen.

I then logged into the Play Store with my google account and opened the Search field there. The same AOSP keyboard appeared but when i hit the mic then, it does not open the google voice input screen. Instead it opens the Language & Input screen? Same thing happened when i open the AOSP keyboard from the browser.

I then downloaded MessagEase and tried using that keyboard but then it does not open the Language & Input screen when i hit the mic button but just stays there saying “Just a moment please…”

Any ideas?

What do you do when setting up from scratch? Am i doing something wrong?

so weird, i've never had this problem, why did you reset with an app? why not just through settings of the watch?
