At the first time I saw you, I had the feeling that this could be work. A watch with that I can read/write 2-5 messages with whatsapp and a swipe-keyboard. Nothing more, nothing special.
You really look good, well manufactured. But after inserting the sim-card, the first shock. Touchscreen not working anymore. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery helped. The first strange moment. The battery drain is awful, the next hard reality-check. But OK I thought, I´m sure there is potential for optimization. Now, with many try and error, the battery usage is roughly a day. I´m sure that more is not possible when a messenger is installed. To get this we had a long way to go. I had to update the play services. I also underclocked the CPU with cpu adiutor, but for that we needed root and for that to play around with the boot.img stuff. Root we also needed to disable your damn step counter and rotation, because no one in china cares about a switch for this. We had to shoot it down with xposed sensors disabler.
But after all the pain you caused me, there are some points I really hate and I´m thinking about to sell you.
Kill-function
Around 1 Min after boot, you kill all apps that not are default installed. That sucks, because there are ones (like cpu ardiutor, swipepad, gboard) that we need. Directly after start is everything fine. This happens also after factory reset, seems in the firmware.
Alarm Sound Terror
When the battery is reaching 30%, a terrible loud sound is played. This can be set silent in the sound settings. After reboot, it is set back to 50%. (By the way, the background-processes settings also)
Swipe to go back
When I swipe from the left edge into the center, it behaviours like hitting the back button except you can drag the actual view in realtime. At the end it really sucks, because I use swipe-(sometimes glide called) keyboard entry (gboard also has this). With that you swipe over the keys and write very fast. But reaching the left border causes to close the text entry. Damn...
Items at the top are not reachable
When I start an app through a launcher (for example swipe-pad), I can´t reach elements at the top because there is a transparent part of the notifications bar over it. I can drag the notifications down, but can´t reach the elements below it (for example an url-adress-bar). When I start an app from the official (shitty) launcher, I can reach the items at the top, but not the notifications. (Note for me: Find a way to completely disable the notifications-bar)
No reconnect after airplane mode
When I disable the airplane mode, it shows signal but there is no data. Mostly after moving (car, bike). Also when Connection enabled, sometimes the data is dead. Airplane mode on/off helps or sometimes only restart. (My initial aim was to stay connected, works! ✔)
Minor: After updating the play services, the booting takes a long time (5-10 min). When in airplane mode, it´s significant faster! That makes no sense...
So Finow...what now. Sometimes I hate you. Please, just start Whatsapp and work more than 5 hours and I´m happy!
No, but I´m afraid that I brick it, because I have root and downgrade could be problematic.
I tried Juice Defencer Ultimate to make sheduled connections, but it never worked reliable and I think it makes more trouble. I will try this app, but in the CPU ardiutor stats the cpu is 90%+ in deep sleep.

flashing the watch will only delete the root but it wo’nt cause a brick to the watch (i think… ).
i use a lemfo lem5. i really love it (in the same way you described, nice looking and full of possibilities in theory), but especially the battery is bad. i got 48h per charge, but without using most parts of the watch (i would like to stay online with 3g a full day for emails, just reading. but it seems to be impossible). i use greenify disabled most apps and even uninstalled apps like ios push notification, just in order to save battery.
i really wonder, why the radio and screen is eating that much… shouldn’t be amoled more savy? why watches with a-wear get such a good battery life??? i think the problem lies mostly in the mtk chipsets. i didn’t inform myself before buying, but they not even release kernel sources… android should be better on a better supported chipset in my eyes…
The strange thing is that since I bricked my one and get a ROM with preloader in this forum and flashed, at least the kill-function is gone. Now its better for me.
48h is a really good value, you should be happy. The mtk chipset is made for smartphones and this watches are more like a “proof of concept” than a good product. A nerd toy.
A normal smartphone has a battery around 1500-2500 mAh, your smartwatch only 350 or 450mAh (LES1,X5+). The Wear-Watches have no GSM connection, this takes much battery, because you have to connect over a long rang into the next cell. Without SIM card, my watch lives longer.
And at the end, the possibility of optimizing the software is finite, but hey, its a full damn computer in a watch. Years ago, this was damn science-fiction!
there is the lg urbane 2 with lte support display always on and still gets 2 days on battery. but i understand our watches are uch heaper and theyare not limited like the wear ones.
i’m also thinking about bigger battery (as i checked, it should be possible to upgrade ours to 600mah.

bigger does'nt always means better:) trust me i've tried with different watches that i had. Wear is different from full android version watches, true nowdays there are the LTE versions Wear watches but still the SW acts differently and even though it looks as our watches they are'nt again the SW acts differently, i have the Q7 and the S1 and i get great battery life with 3g always on and wifi and BT and GPS on for more than 3hr, same was with my D5 with mtk6580 things were different because when i used 3g all the time i got about 15hr to 20hr of usage but with barely wifi, bt and gps on.

can you give me a short list, which watches last longest with 3G? I don’t need wifi, bt or gps (gps would be nice sometimes, but even on the phone with big battery gps is always a battery burner here in Thailand at least). but 3g is something that i normally need all day long for my skype calls, emails etc.
i was never a wear fan (actually i hate it), but i might give the lg urbane 2 a try. i saw you can get root and twrp on it and after that almost everything should be standalone possible.
i will have a look at the d5? is it the best for 3g?
battery update was just a thought. i saw it is possible to get 600 mah li-ion into the same casing. so might extend just the little more i need…
i also shut down more services. battery life has extended a few more ours since my last update. anyhow i would like to gain back some functionality.
5.1 watches with mtk6572 the Q7, S1 and the H1. the first 2 have sd card slot but low very low resolution (not great but not bad... the H1 has more pro than con but i do'nt have it so do'nt know much about battery life.
4.4 watches with mtk6572 there are so many and most important they have custom roms which can give you more than 2 days of usage and easily can be rooted, with 5.1 watches did’nt have much luck.
for a man i think the H1 is better choice, you should go to a youtube user that has this watch and see what his\her respond about battery life with 3g on all the time. or…you can take a chance and might get the watch in a very very low price and give us your thought about the watch:)

thanks a lot fo the list and the links. looke through already and have to say i like the S1. adding an sd card would be great and i don’t care too much about resolution. i think 240x240 is more than enough.
i see the mtk6572 is only two core. that might give it the much better batttery life?
