Yes it's still planned, but three things : - first priority was christmas holidays : Happy New Year to all of you ! - second priority is to solve / enhance battery issue. - third : Julien is giving me a hand, that can speed up some dev...

Awesome mate! Looking forward to the progress. I wander if anyone has ever approached you in commercializing your launcher?  cause with the popularity you're getting, maybe an offer has already been made...

Hi, I love the launcher, and can confirm that it's been working fine on my iqi i3 for the last few weeks. But now I have a strange problem. I let the battery run flat, and think they I've done a hard reset upon rebooting and now it won't boot fully. I mean it boots up but just stays on the umbrella screen instead of loading a face. The only option I can get to is by holding the button and it gives me the Recent screens/power saving/reboot/power off menu. It's as if the launcher has stopped and yet it isn't starting the original one either. I've had a look around and am struggling to find any firmware for this watch at the moment. It's almost as if it's awaiting for the 'use launcher' always or just once option, if you get what I mean. Is there any option I could change in the program folder to reset to default by connecting to my laptop (long shot I know). I've loved using the launcher, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. David.

I think that i get what you mean. I had a similar problem on the kw88. In my case, i deleted the launcher and the default launcher won't load up. It's just stuck at one of the boot up pics.

I did get it fixed though by flashing one of the kw88 factory firmwares via SP Flash Tool and this factory reset’d the watch to the said firmware. Good thing for you is that i see i3 firmware posted by Loki in the firmware archives :- goo.gl/xWe33f

Though you’ll have to figure out how to flash and use SP flash tool by your own. Google it for more info. It might seem hard at first but that’s where the fun is lol…

Hi Eric! here is video for Widgets. Can't delete any, and looks like both stuck with old measurements. It works exactly same for other widgets. But sometimes some work, but mostly - not.

p.s. No, I have no problems with touchscreen. Its just not easy to hit icon when you look to it thru phone camera.  In normal position, touchscreen works perfect.

Thanks for the video. Yes the delete popup is a little bit tricky to make work, you need to touch for 2s, then release to make it appear. I don’t think that’s the problem in your case, but one thing looks strange, the widget normally shows the health launcher with the two icons, in your case you see the pedometer values. Is it always like this in your watch  or is it the reason why you say it’s frozen ?

How can I delete a widget that wont work on the launcher v 1.1.3 and will not give me the delete option from holding down on the widget?

Thanks

If you’re talking about the default Google widget, you can’t.

Just installed launcher 1.1.3 on KW88 and it seems fine. I will monitor battery towards the day. Meanwhile Eric, the launcher is fantastic. I will also say that by adding some settings like background colour and font colour in notifications would be fantastic. Thanks

Buenos dias ricktop comprobada la bateria te confirmo que con la misma cara en 1.0.6 la bateria dura mas.
Mi bateria no dura nada esta en mal estado por eso tanta importancia lo de la bateria.
Gracias
Probare la 1.1.3.

today install 1.1.3 it work great… now notification is working on kw88. ^-^
but how to delete widget that we put in manually ?
thank again.

ricktop - verry verry great work!!!

thank you verry much!!!

greetings from germany, the south side of Hamburg

ricktop, Thanks again for your work. There is a request to add a sound or vibration signal when the battery charge is less than 10%. Sometimes i do not notice that my watch is turned off.

my device:
Makibes I3 (Launch-I3) Smart Watch Phone 3 Г GPS WIFI Google Android 5.1 MTK6580 Quad Core 1.3

Eric I tested 1.1.3 today and it is actually fantastic with battery usage. Fantastic job. I am looking forward for notification changes at the launcher.

Power drain
KW88, Launcher 1.1.3
I have noticed that switching on wrist gesture activity (in the launcher) starts drain the battery
also when watch lay down without any movement
like movement watchdog is keeping processor too busy
power drain is 2-3 times higher compared to identical situation when gesture is off

Hi Rick! Not 2 sec, not 3 sec, not 10 seconds does not work =( So now I have 2 Health widgets. I can delete them only by Clear Data of your app. Can Delete function not work because there is no active elements on widgets? Looks like other widgets can be removed... That's why I asked about stand-alone app with settings =)

I think they are “frozen” because once Launcher started (watch reboot, manual restart etc) widgets get current steps count. But while I’m walking, number not changes, so it always shows what was there after widget load. And yes, Health widget always looks like that on my Blitz. I can see 2 buttons for heart rate monitor and pedometer when I open the Health app (see video).

On default Launcher, there was a tab with pedometer (I believe it worked as widget but hardcoded to its position) and it worked fine always shows correct amount of steps.

By the way, watch face step counter resets to 0 each time Launcher starts. But Pedometer remembers # of steps. There is no common DB with steps count in the system?

great work. yesterday I have install this launcher and think that it’s OK. Today I have a made a factory reset and now I cannot install this launcher. When I open the apk file i am not able to hit the install button. It seems to be inactive. yesterday I had the same situation but somehow i managed to install it. Can you help me with this?
It is Lemfo Lem5

EDIT: Very strange thing. When I disable app lower Brightness and set the brightness to max, I install it with no problem. I just leave it here. Maybe someone else will have the same problem.

I’ve seen strange behavior when the widget is “dead” the long click is not detected, implemented a double click on V 1.1.4. You can try.

Thanks Rick! That helped =) So can confirm now, that double click works fine even on “dead” widgets. Also, on “alive” widgets both delete methods works fine. Any ideas why pedometer widget not respond? Can you force widget to update?

UPD1:
Tested more with Music widget: if I long press on active element of widget, like button, it shows delete dialog. But if I long press on inactive widget element, like background, etc, nothing happens. Double tap works fine though.

UPD2:
Tested even more on Music widget. If music plays, widget not reacts on play-pause, fwd, rwnd buttons, volume controls, and not shows song title. I believe same widget worked fine when it was hardcoded at right tab of the original Launcher. So looks like some widgets works, some - not. Will test more and let you know.

UPD3:
Widgets get updated only on Launcher start (manual restart or watch reboot). Nothing else helps to update it. =(

UPD4:
Power save system app (Battery Master) was freezed by Root Uninstaller. I have great background app BlipBlip (beep sound every hour) and it works in background without any problems.

p.s. Don’t you think to put your code to github? Or else, don’t you think to put your code to playstore ans sell app for few bucks? Im sure you will not become a millionaire but can earn few dozen bucks to buy your favorite drink that will help you with development =)

Posting on Github guarantees his work gets stolen by shady brands looking to make buck off of his hard work, and this something that has happened enough times to the community already. We agree that Play Store or something similar would be a good idea.

thank you Rick!
