Otherwise you will not see any changes. The test is definitely going to need BT to be activated.

Done and yet nothing new: the MAC address it's still the "fake" one "00:00:46...".

Exactly the same as the I8? I'm not concerned about the mac changing. I'm only concerned about the fact that it is the same as the I8.

And is it the same when you connect to another device or does the MAC change again?

Always the same MAC as the I8, the same MAC it was before and the still the same after connect to a device, both smartphone or BT earphones:

00:00:46:00:00:01

This is amazing…
As iscle said as well - it’s very strange indeed.

What version of the I8 is it? The M6737 model or the m6739?

We've checked with CPU-Z, it's the mt6739 version, android 7.1.1.

Ok. Well, the next step is to do the same process with the I8. Sorry but we have to start with the basics.

anyway, the FW version you posted it’s not the latest, because on the 20190320 version there is a new option “Notification bright screen” into display settings.

Trying to check software updates doesn’t show the new version tho.

I can't force my colleague to flash his watch and he doesn't have the firmware zip

Yes, that’s why I didn’t post it.
As I said in my post:
“It’s the same as the last OTA.
Nothing new but reliable”
If you want - I can post it but it is not the problem here as we have just proved.

Ok, fair enough. But it means that we can't rule out the fact that the I8 may be a problem and might be resolved by flashing.

Anyway, no worries…
It’s up to you.

Thanks

I will upload it for you.
It will be ready tomorrow.

But you will rebuild it or you will supply the original zip?

Because we have found the original rom on a dedicated topic on forum.

Ok, I own this forum and I get my firmware directly from the manufacturer.

Which thread are you talking about with different firmware?

I will be linking you to the original stock firmware which is exactly what I did with the Hope firmware.

Here is the original IQI I8 firmware - use it or not if you don’t trust me.

Of course I trust you! I asked only to know if there is something new to test, in order to solve the problem

I wan not talking about a different firmware, I only asked if the firmware you will be linking is the same on topic “http:///thread/3022/i8-m6739-fw”, which it is

thanks!

We tried to flash the firmware on I8, with “Firmware Upgrade” option and nothing changed.
Also a data factory reset didn’t fix.
