Has anyone tested this application on smartwatches?
It’s a famous application for android devices for make scripts for actions automation.
no root required and he can execute adb shell command ![]()
for any special authorization (kill application …) you can run adb command by your pc and usb cable
Has anyone posted a topic for AI speech commands via watch? I am an app developer that loves full android and just discovered these powerful watches. And noticed that Alexa isn’t available and other apps don’t fit. I rushed to build an android mobile watch app that listens for a spoken question passed to Chatgpt or perplexity and answers back via speech, that easily works on any size watch - and it does now. Speech runs in background with screen off. I’d love it if anyone wants to help beta but I want to ask permission from Dr_Andy_Vishnu first as I don’t want to be confused with being a scammer, which I am not. So until he gives thumbs up I won’t share the website of where to download the apk file for Android.
That would be awesome!!! You’re a genius!!
@Dr_Andy_Vishnu , could you do the honors please??
I want to add that ChatGPT doesn’t work actually on FAWs. At least, not on an Android 9.1 watch like DM30…
I just discovered your post. Feel free to share your APK here. We’re always happy to hear about new developments.
I’m sure the doctor missed your post, so I’ll let him know.
You have my blessing . Thankyou ![]()
Thank you all for allowing me to share info about this app. I did manage to do some initial testing on a handful of watches. And I am noticing some weirdness between Android 8 ish Android 9 and Android 11. It seems I can get the app to run on Android 8 and 9 phones some of the time. Android 11 I have not had much luck yet I’m not sure what the heck is going on but it’s like they got the microphone on lockdown.
So the cellular watches with Android that I’ve tested that work without issue or the h18 the h19 and the q85. Those seem to work fine without a hitch. I’m very curious to find out if anybody else can get a different model to work. It seems you have to install gboard or find some hidden setting somewhere in some cases.
So the app is pretty basic right now there’s actually three versions. There is a watch version and a phone version as well as a website version. And in some cases the website version works better than the other two depending on the device.
In a nutshell the app lets you set up with a username email and channel ID. And let’s say you set the channel ID to 333. And let’s say you installed on a phone or other device or share with a friend and they also put it on channel 333. All of your chat and questions now to AI will be pulled together in a channel so you and your friends can share a channel where you’re chatting via voice and sharing AI questions and whatnot
Also with each channel basically you are offered embed iframe code that lets you insert the channels blog/list of chat and questions etc into any web page.
So it’s a 3-in-one app you can basically hit the chat button or the mic button to talk without asking any questions it’ll just do a chat posting. Then there was a button to ask AI which asks chat GPT question and is waiting for your spoken question. The deep AI button will actually also listen for a question but will post to perplexity which allows questions up until today so it’s a lot more current than chat GPT. There’s a little eyeball icon that lets you toggle the viewing screen for the return text so you can read and listen to the return output. So it’s handy app I find it fun to use you can have it on your watch and on your phone and then if they’re on the same channel you can talk to one and you know see the new entries on the other.
Okay I know that’s a lot of chatter the next link will be to download the beta app.
Regards Matt Clark
Ok. So the website is https://sameday.software
If you don’t want to login via website, here is link to the current Beta release of the APK, the app is called myDataWaiter. Please supply your email in the app settings.
https://sameday.software/voice/myDataWaiter-watch-r7n.apk
The chat GPT API key and the perplexity API key are both shared by all currently for this app. So all chat GPT in perplexity questions cost probably 2 to 3 cents on average per question.
I am just pointing that out for perspective. For you guys it is totally free of charge to evaluate. If you feel like subscribing that is totally optional.
By the way when you log into sameday.software from the ‘try it now’ button it’s expecting you to have a Google account if not you can create an account but I have to approve it the Google login lets you get straight in there. There’s a link at the top once you’re logged in that says watch users Deepa AI something like that. You can click that from your watch and launch the perplexity ai and it’ll be pulsating waiting for your question. Scroll down a little more you’ll see beta release 4 for a watch. That’s going to be the one you want to try out.
Worth noting is full android OS detects the input language, and the AI adjusts the output to be the same, unless you ask otherwise. And every common language you might ever use already is plugged in.
I look forward to hearing any feedback. I will share some demo videos I’ve made of this thing in action. Enjoy.
By the way I’d like to reserve all the channels from zero to 100, and from 700 to 799. But feel free to choose whatever channel ID you want if it’s not one of those numbers. It wouldn’t hurt if you let me know which channel you’re using.
And when you run the app, click the green settings icon first, set your user name, email address, and a channel ID. For this group lets use 333. That way once you connect you should see some familiar names in the channel’s chat wall.
This link is where the chat conversation/history can be read :
https://sameday.software/voice/aishow2.php?view=chat&channel=333
And the AI question and answers history for the 333 channel :
https://sameday.software/voice/aishow1.php?channel=333
This link is where the SQL insert/update history can be read (more on that later) :
https://sameday.software/voice/aishow2.php?view=work&channel=333
These links are also available in the phone version via the ‘Embed Blog’ button. The channel ID must be a positive integer. No channel ID defaults to public channel 57. I will post more documentation if needed.
