just bought this watch and i was wondering if i could potentially upgrade this since it’s on Android 8.1. not entirely sure of the model name except for these pictures i took, but i think this listing might be similar to the one i own since this was second-hand

what do you want, flash system is not possible itll just keep crashing this soc is very bad despite all specs is same as 8541e but it is very bad

it doesnt overheat as much as the android 13 watches as they have a even worse processor
you can root it but its complex and its not that useful, recommend w527 watches if you like to experment
not really interested in experimenting, just hoping to make it a usable watch with an android version newer than 8. not that i mind since most of the apps i use thankfully still support that version. at least, until whatsapp kills support for it
Worry you not, WhatsApp is not killing A8.1 anytime soon. Lower target is Android 5 until September 2026. They really want everyone to use it

i currently have a bit of an issue with this watch. for some reason gps doesn’t seem to work properly, when i open google maps (not the go version) it doesn’t show my current location. i have location on and that doesn’t seem to fix my issue.
W377E gps is really weak. You may get a gps lock outside if you don’t have any clouds. As per google location idk why it never worked
