Found an error, of course, in fact, everything works correctly. The power saving mode is on, the battery is 32% charged before going to bed, I go to bed. In the morning, the vibration of the alarm clock does not turn on, the charge is 15% - 17%, I don’t remember exactly. I almost overslept, thank God my wife woke me up. Even under pain of death of the device, the vibration mode of the alarm clock should work, or there should be a choice to use vibration in the power consumption mode. For power battery normal, vibration working.
P.S. Lemfo Z40
Dont forget to add all onto spreadsheet in top post . Thanks
While working through my trials of music player apps I have noted a strange occurence with the battery reporting on my Lokmat.
Normally, with my minimal usage profile of active phone and raise to view, the watch has been able to maintain a 2 day run time from each charge. 100% down to 60% in the first 24h, 56% down to 15% the second 24h. A few short calls and texts during each day. Rinse and repeat. Quite satisfied.
When testing the music apps with the Bluetooth bone conduction headphones the consumption was expected to increase, but the way it increased is confusing.
First day, 100% down to 74% in the first 16h. Used my newly selected favourite music app for 2.5h non-stop with Bluetooth and a short false start to follow the excellent instructions on reply 226 to ensure music continues to play with the screen off.
When satisfied with the trial the battery reported 45%. Still impressed.
Went to bed, with the watch running but on the bedside table. All apps cleared using long hold of the power button and cleared recent. Woke to find the battery reporting 19% where it would normally only drop by 3% to 6% overnight.
This had me wondering if I had followed the instructions correctly to ensure the app could run with the screen off. ( Tried everything including a stylus to tap the tiny lock on step 3, but just gave up and moved to step 4…).
Recharged the watch and set about a second trial to emulate the first. After 16h the watchnhad dropped to 60%, with a few calls more than usual. Began the 2.5h constant music with Bluetooth (driving home - 5h round trip). All fine, even answered a call during the trip (head phone controls working well, with the music app. More on the app choice “Lisna” in another post).
Finished the trip, turned off Bluetooth and cleared Lisna. Watch reports 30% battery.
15 mins later, the watch buzzes my wrist and shows a notification 8% battery, please charge.
No one doubts these watches ooze personality, but a little too human, like any of us that have done a decent job and seek a well earned drink to wind down / celebrate, having the watch relax all of a sudden ( from 30% to 8% ) and ask for a drink is a little strange.
Is there an issue whereby the battery takes time to assess the real remaining level after completing a high drain activity? If so, I will add this to the spread sheet.
More on the 10 music apps I tried and my final favourite in a seperate post, for those that have an interest.
Hi people.
I have been busy working with the solution providers to get the OTA process going.
The first thing I need is a few LEM16 customers (not Lokmat APPLLP 4 Pro just yet) who are willing to test the OTA.
Once you have decided if you want to join in - I will open a private group chat for feedback or assistance etc.
I need about 6 people (including staff here if possible) to step forward and participate.
It is preferable to have experience with flashing firmware, just in case you want to go back to the version you have at the moment. But it is not essential.
If anyone is interested, please send me a private message so that I can set up the private group chat.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
@Alex_Tr
Have you disabled the Clean Task app in the Optimisation section of the watch menu?
This is essential.
Good afternoon. The functions do not optimize the applications that come with the firmware, including the alarm clock. The alarm clock turns on in power saving mode but there is no vibration, I see the time and the stop button, but for some reason there is a vibration from notifications from the phone!
Ready to test OTA from lemfo z40.
So this means they have accepted (our excel sheet helped?) that there are problems and are willing to sponsor the development work to have it fixed?
there is more of a question to bring to light a competitively capable product against electronic giants. And in my opinion, such watches are changing the market, compared to expensive smartwatches with minimal features.
I sent you a PM @Dotsfar
Vibration is disabled in power saving mode… To save power.
Vibration motor uses more power than sound.
An interesting feature, there is vibration from notifications, but not from an alarm clock, provided that notifications from a smartphone come more often than from an alarm clock. It is worth changing the other way around, because the alarm clock rings less than a thousand notifications from applications on a smartphone.
stopwatch from the built-in application store, perfectly makes the vibration work, notifies about the start of the countdown.
Why does a person with a small child, at a meeting, in the subway, at a disco, need vibration on the clock in any mode. You need sound, well, yes, the developer is right =)
I left the watch on charge, after auto-locking the screen, I check by pressing the power button how many hours are charged, the clock is 100%, I remove it from charging. Further, instead of the dial, the watch continues to charge, the charge display function hangs, only as you move the curtain to the side, only rebooting the device helps. pointed to the excel, face recognition.
I had the same problem some times ago, but for me not a big issue, because after a restart everything is OK. May be, this was my explanation, the watch was not charged exactly to 100 %,…, but I had this issue never again.
This is the price to pay for these custom apps that go against the stock Android security and permissions.
Face Unlock is no longer supported and so it can cause issues.
The “eye candy” charging animation is using the screen saver and lock screen functionality, and so it too can cause issues if you use a secure lock screen, like a pin number.
These issues are known, but because so many people think they are “wonderful features” - they are not removed.
Almost everything in “Optimisation” section is a nightmare for Android OS.
I suspect that the various permissions issues that have been reported are also caused by these kind of functions and customised apps.
May be I do not understand what you try to say. I have installed three apps
Package names
Whatsapp
Clockskintransfer
That’s all.
DRAWER ICONS…
Also in this watch, the same problem, a problem old than the world. I noticed this bug since my first android smartwatches, Lemfo, Microwear, Finow, etc.
Every time the same story. If we look at the drawer icons, we can see the system / stock apps firstly.
Personally I’m using the GRID layout, 4 icons every screen. At the bottom of the last system / stock app, 3rd party apps start to be listed.
But in which order? Not alphabetical. It seems to be the same order in which I installed the app. But not exactly, sometimes some app just installed is before other ones installed earlier.
I’ve never understood why. And there’s no way to order them.
Universal launcher offers both the possibility to use icon pacs and to determine the order of the apps.
Of course, I know. But the stock launcher in this new Lemfo is nice, more functions than my other older watches. I can’t understand why no brand cover this need and every time we have to install a 3rd party launcher. It sounds crazy.
@pycon
Yes, it is frustrating and I will raise it as an issue again.
