A quick guide on how to create an analog moonphase that looks and acts similar to a real one on a physical mechanical watch.
All you need is a moonphase dial and then go into your watch face design and add the “moonphase array” go into the array and replace all the stock images of the generic black circular moonphases with your custom moonphase wheel. You will need to know what position of the mew image corresponds with the old stock image. or instance this would be your “full moon” image. Each corresponding image will then be changed accordingly. (waxing crescent, waxing gibbous and so on) Place the array behind the moonphase window (which should have a cutout for viewing the moonphase array) Make sure you keep the old names from the stock images, otherwise the xml file wont be able to be read by the stock launcher. It wont “see” the image. As an example, you have changed the old image to one similar here above, but the name would still be -clock_skin_full_moon.png-. only change the images and NOT the names. Unless you are doing a custom from scratch xml, in that case name it whatever you want. This should allow anyone who wants to add a realistic style moonphase to their watch, the ability to do so. Hope this helps explain it and helps you out as well. Take care, bye for now.
