Account email and password help

I was lazy when I signed up and just clicked sign up with Google but then realised that I wanted to have notifications sent to a different email address as I dont bother monitoring my Gmail account.

I went into preferences and changed my email, confirmed it, reset my password and thought I was all good but now I can’t sign in on my pc!

Every time I try, it tells me there has been an unknown error and I can’t get past it, from my phone I can still post and read messages but I haven’t even changed anything on it, it must be using cookies to keep me signed in on my mobile?

I am mainly a pc user and not being able to access this forum on Amy of my pc’s is driving me crazy!

I’ve tired going though the reset process again but now it sends a link to confirm changes but clicking on the link results in a message saying the link is no longer valid!

I’m a bit stuck on what to do now, can an admin help me fix this problem please?

Please try to clear Cache at your PC and log im with your new email.

I’ve also had a problem with logging in and getting “unknown error” before. Make sure that it says https and not only http in your address bar

noidremained, in all my years on the net, i have never come across a site that requires HTTPS:// in front of the address before but it fixed the problem, thanks!

i was desperate to get back on my pc as this site sucks hard on a mobile device, it does some strange zooming which i cannot stop no matter if i select desktop site or not and it makes typing a post a real headache.

with a multi screen desktop pc and a laptop downstairs and another desktop and another laptop upstairs, a pc is always to hand and i only use my mobile when im out, so it was driving me mad not being able to get logged in on my pc’s, im a happy bunny now, thanks again.
