Lived here 32 years and never before have we had this kind of heat… I predict the end of the world!

That’s getting up there! When I was in the Sierra Foothills above Sacramento, California I was in 112 degree heat while building my house there. But even that is cool compared to Phoenix which is seeing 118 degrees this week or worse yet Mohave Valley which will see 123 degrees! Even Las Vegas is going to see 118 degrees. Stay cool and keep hydrated.
I’m hoping for your sake DD that it wasn’t 111 at 10pm. 
Thanks for the good wishes, the temperature now at 9 p.m. is only 98 Degrees.

Ah Simon! You should come and live in Sunny (supposedly! 
) Queensland in Oz. It is 7.51 am here and it is raining like someone has turned a fire hose on! The temperature is a palmy, balmy, 18c (Around 65 on the old Fahrenheit scale) which is rather cold for us…but we seldom see 111 days like @doubledad is experiencing!
